What tablet/e reader do you use for your digital manga? Im looking to buy one hopefully with expandable memory.
E readers
Kindle paperwhite, it's too small but I deal with it.
I use an Kindle Oasis, not really recommend it for manga. Get a tablet and install tachiyomi.
But tablets dont have that cool paper look thing? aint that what everyone likes?
get a kindle, android tablets are trash, you can get an iPad but it has no expandable storage
Kindles have expandable storage? why cant i find anything about that anywhere
As soon as prices drop below $300, I'm gonna get a tablet sized ereader, like this one from Sony, specifically to read my massive manga backlog.
Right now, there's no ereader suitably sized to display a full page.
>Kindles have expandable storage
No
no but if you get the 32gb one you won't really need it
Looks nic. Gotta link or name?
I didn't try with my Kindle but before that I had a Kobo Glo, after it broke, I opened it and the storage was a microsd card, which I could easily pop out and exchange for any other, Maybe you can do that with a Kindle too.
Kindle has cloud storage tho. Anything you buy doesn't get deleted permanently.
Not that user.
The problem with e-readers is a high price for real big models. The size should be at least 12" for comfortable reading. Now such models cost more than $800.
serious? i was thinking 200 was the most id spend christ
>reader bigger than actual dimensions of the original publication
for what purpose?
Double page spreads.
Is that really worth the extra money, though? Ludicrous amount of extra money.
>Anything you buy
Publication smaller than the original manuscript pages...
I for one would appreciate detailed art more if published on a 1:1 scale.
So do i get a tablet or a e reader?
i could get a tablet with tachiyomi or a kindle or some shit and only have a few manga at a time.
Turn it sideways and read it like an open book.
reader is specifically designed to be easier on the eyes for extended periods of time you'll spend reading. if screen size doesn't matter you might as well just use a modern smartphone instead of a tablet, for example.
Onyx Boox Max
It has 64GB build in so you don't really need expansion that much. It can also handle USB storage although that somewhat drains the battery.
I already use my smartphone so if thats good enough fuck it
How do you even get a kindle to format the manga properly? Whenever I tried there would always be a bunch of blank space surrounding the page
Kindle Comic Converter
It's even useful for devices with native cbz/cbr support.
ONYX BOOX MAX 3 is the best option currently, for next year they will come out with color ink support and this will reboot everything.
I don't recommend any tablet for reading manga. You're far better of using a computer.
this . For manga reading something bigger would be way better, but I use it more to read books and for that the paperwhite was the right choice for me.
I'd go for a tablet with bigger screen. You can watch video, browse net and install apps on it.
Small screen is the worst thing if you can't resize things properly.
Size > "paper quality". If you put the reader close to your eyes it will bring more harm than light from LCD. And I wouldn't buy e-reader for manga, the tech is stagnating.
Same, it's just too good for everything else I read to have a dedicated reader for manga. I wish I could jailbreak it, I really want to test that Mangle thing but I would never had thought jailbreak for a fucking kindle existed and kept it quite updated.
>I'd go for a tablet with bigger screen. You can watch video, browse net and install apps on it.
Boox Max 3 can do all that and it's 13.3" of eink goodness.
I have both the paperwhite and a 13" ipad, I personally like the ipad a lot more. Along with the larger size its just more crisp looking. Plus I don't miss out on any of the color spreads.
>video on e-ink
How? Does it have a secondary LED screen or something?
you already posted it
this user is retarded
this user is fucking insane
It has different modes to cut corners in the composition and speed up the process.
