However, in this scene, it is never declared they are playing Xanatos Speed Chess, and neither of the players appear to be involved in the Illuminati.
If you fags had have a brain, even without the TLNote, what just happened in the scene is incredibly immersion breaking. It is the absolute peak of immersion breaking. It is reality breaking levels. Only actual idiots would continue to watch the show past this scene. So much so that it's a well known point of reference for retards. It is the ultimate filter that only allows the incredibly dumb to push through while the chads sit back and call this the end of the show.

I mean, it was pretty clear the animators had no idea how chess is played. Doesn't mean the TL has to go off on a tangent trying to rationalize how that could have been a legal move. The writers just didn't bother learning the rules of chess before they wrote an anime whose protagonist is a chess playing strategist.
