Will Chainsaw Man save Jump when One Piece ends?

Will Chainsaw Man save Jump when One Piece ends?

Interview with Fujimoto
>Q: What did you realize by getting a series in WSJ?
>A: At first a big wig at the editing department told me "Just draw whatever you want!". I took him to his word and never had to change anything. I'm able to draw freely.
>Q: How did the series came to be?
>A: At first, Fire Punch had a setting in which the main character was burning and all the people to which the fire moved to would also end up burning to death. But through that the story ends up being on a really narrow scale. Even if he makes a lover he can't hold hands with them. So my first thought this time was to have a main character and a story that could move freely. That's were I got the idea to make Denji a cheerful character now matter how dark the developments get.
>Q: Please give a message to the readers
>A: There's gonna be some pretty shocking developments.

The big shots clearly have a lot of faith in him. No other relatively new mangaka has as much power as Fuji does. CSM will probably end by then but Fuji mentioned his ideas are infinite, so will he himself save Jump?

Halloween!

post THAT image.

It has a lot of potential but one thing is going against it .. so far it seems pretty planned out with the major arc revolving around Makima. It doesn't seem like it can be milked for long and once Makima is dealt with (or not) the story might just naturally end.

One Piece on the other hand has several LONG arcs ahead so it'll run for 5-10 more years easily. I don't see CSM running that long.

I hope it does really well to inspire them to give more power to mangakas

thank you.

>so far it seems pretty planned out with the major arc revolving around Makima. It doesn't seem like it can be milked for long and once Makima is dealt with (or not) the story might just naturally end.
I wonder if this is why Primordial Devils were just introduced, and why the confrontation between Makima and Darkness went the way it did

You now have a setting where conflicts can continue beyond just Gun Devil and Makima

Attached: Zoom!.gif (337x372, 33.32K)

It can but it seems that things are moving/resolving at a quick pace. Either way I don't see it being a long-running series like the big three.

Primordial devils can't get out of hell so I don't think so

The power of Yas Forumsutism

Yeah I don't think it will run too long either
Fujimoto isn't trying to make the next Bleach or anything, it'll probably end with the resolution of Makima/Gun Devil/The Door

I get the feeling Fujimoto doesn't like for things to overstay their welcome. He's not shy about shifting tone or killing characters.

They can if they're killed in hell, it's just that they're all so powerful that it's never happened before

>I get the feeling Fujimoto doesn't like for things to overstay their welcome. He's not shy about shifting tone or killing characters.
No way really??

well my only previous exposure to him was Fire Punch
I thought making a Shonen for Jump might cause him to fall into the trap of not letting go of things, but I'm glad it hasn't

CSM is the greatest manga that WSJ has seen for years, but since Fujimoto wants to work on one shots, he will wrap up the story soon. It would save Jump if it was going to be 150+ chaptets, but I doubt it will.

>What do you feel about the ending of a serialization?
>fujimoto: "Doing a serialization makes me want to draw oneshots, drawing oneshots makes me want to draw a serialization...at least that's what I truly feel. Which is why now that I'm in the middle of serializing [Chainsaw man] I feel like drawing oneshots (laugh). In the first place, I want to bring out more stories that I thought up myself into the world, so the serialization won't continue for long, that being the case, I want to draw many more works.

this is a recent interview with fuji some user translated a few days ago. so we know that csm won't last that long.

the fastest torso in the world

The thing is if he wanted to sell out and milk it forever he absolutely could with the popularity it's been gaining and the vast nature of the setting

Does anyone have any art of Kusakabe?

Attached: 80653723_p1.jpg (708x625, 101.21K)

it'll probably end as soon as they deal with the gun devil. I just hope it doesn't happen too suddenly, but considering it's fujimoto there's no way to predict it. it'd just be a shame for the series to unexpectedly end.

pERSONALLY I HOPE csm GETS ITS ANIME BEFORE THE MANGA ENDS

Attached: 15828011976621.png (692x649, 209.68K)

after seeing Darkness and Makima fight I think Gun Devil wont be the end boss

It's probably gonna be fast tracked, anime very soon

but Fujimoto is exactly the type that would put the "power level" spike in the middle of the manga and have the climax rely entirely on other factors
I mean they're not going to beat Makima by punching her

Nah, the manga will end in the next year more like.. Fuji wants to go back to draw oneshots

well Kukusabe is in it

Attached: EULzK5QUwAA11Sr.jpg (952x536, 133.12K)

They'll be begging him to come back for another serialization, which he'll do eventually, and then go back to oneshots as he pleases

always leave them wanting more

personally, I don't care when the anime happens
I just don't want a bad adaptation

>no reze
>no himeno
hell sucks

Attached: screencap this.png (528x90, 8.25K)

Please don't tell me you actually thought that would happen

>I mean they're not going to beat Makima by punching her
they're not going to beat Makima at all, she's the female lead

no I just wanted to laugh at rezefags

You guys are buying the english physical release on Oct. 6, right?

Chainsaw Man only has about 18-20 volumes at most in it, which is a perfect length, Tatsuki Fujimoto shouldn't be squandered on one series.

If the jump keep milking chainsaw from the anime after the manga ends maybe..
>Full adaptation 50 eps

I actually meant to type Gun Devil it was kind of a freudian slip
Makima being a villain is too obvious

I'll say 15 volumes

>reze and himeno went to heaven not hell
feels good bros

Who cares? The manga's good, enjoy that.

imagine there's no heaven...

it's not funny

>Implying CSM won't end before one piece does.

Not him, but my cock will explode if we get to see the Reze altercation animated. It has to happen.

About how long to you estimate until Chainsaw Man ends?

>but since Fujimoto wants to work on one shots
Source?

At best you'l get an anime in early 2021

read the thread

He has everyone by their nuts, how can one man be such a chad?

Attached: EVO2lhsUcAEF63v.jpg (1536x2048, 171.79K)

It's hard to tell with Fujimoto. There isn't an inherent story structure because it's based around Denji trying to get a nut, but I can't imagine that we are in for the long haul considering Fuji doesn't like to stick to one thing for long. 40-50 more chapters maybe? Even that seems like a little much considering the current pace unless we get a huge shift in direction soon.

My feeling is we are heading into the final arc and you're looking at about 35 more chapters

it's hard to tell by pacing because CSM can go from 0 to 100 and back to 0 in the span of few chapters

Attached: 8687587.jpg (685x740, 97.82K)

he looks so weird here

Chainsawman is probably going to end before onepiece.

csm is fast paced. it's gonna ended before one piece ended. csm's story mainly circling about makima, a manga like that usually dont last long. it's a bit remind me of death note that circling arounf light vs L, after that, near and mello simply cant live up to L's hype. and death note only have 12 or 13 volume iirc.

maybe around 120 chapter csm will be over

That was almost definitely just world building. It's set up so they don't come to earth, and you sure as hell don't want to kill them in hell.

To be fair not a single one of the new series currently being published in WSJ can ever reach what OP did in term of longetivity and without a major decline in popularity, i would like to think that even Jump is aware of that. In CSM i could see it running a bit longer than fire punch maybe maximum a 100 more chapters. Fujimoto as much as i appreciate his work doesnt seem like he's capable of writing something like this for so long.

That wouldn't be surprising. I would appreciate a longer arc like that gives the characters and story more time to breath and just interact before shit hits the fan.

I agree, but if past arcs were 0-100, this one is like 0-200. The stakes have been raised significantly and I'm just not sure where we go from here other than finally getting to main plot points of Makima/Denji and Aki/Gun because what worse can you do to the cast than literally sending them to hell to get blendered?

It was fantastic
The image with the Astronauts is going to be iconic forever

It doesn't help that Chainsaw's arcs are usually 10-20 chapters, while new One Piece arcs are 50+ chapters.
Even if Fujimoto slows down the plot progression and stops abridging the fights, it might reach Demon Slayer's length, which means 3 more years for Chainsaw.
Meanwhile One Piece still has at least 4 years left considering the pacing, and I'm lowballing it.

you dont have to end your main manga to create one-shot. fujimoto actually create a one-shot while still writing firepunch

Anyone else got CSM fan animations?
I saw an amazing one in one of these threads with Katana doing his croch-dash at Denji but google's not helping me find it anywhere.
Hope the nips love this series as much as we do.

Fuck yeah, haven't seen this one yet

another one

It was pretty cool but I think you're over rating it. Cool scenes like that are a dime a doezen spread out within Manga. Without an anime CSM will probably go down the same path as FP in relative obscurity witj some peaks in popularity on the internet every now and then spread out amongst the years.

Anime can be a fickle maiden. I think KnY was trash but the animr was decent and it skyrocketed in popularity. This is a good source but at the end of the day it all depends on how the anime works out. If the theme and animation is on point I think it'll end up being popular.

>One Piece arcs are 50+ chapters.
I feel like it's way more than that

wonder if they'll recruit him now that they lost so many people

Attached: 1583506986878.webm (960x720, 277.28K)

What I mean is you're going to see it it OPT threads forever

>still writing firepunch
So you mean while he wasn't drawing it?
Because that's the problem, drawing takes up all the time.

I never understood how his ability works, does he just unsheath his hand and then his head changes?

>the way the machete comes out his head with a chunky explosion
I fucking love it.
