It seems the first arc of the show is an adaptation of Our War Game, yes.

Reminder that Tamers was pure furrybait edgy shit.
Owen Thomas
What time EST will the new episode premier?

>Kids getting a device that allows them to have a monster partner and go a magical journey >Not blatant merchandise >Kids getting cards that allow them to assist their partners with said device >blatant merchandise Lets say this is true, if the cards are used well to explore the characters, give the kids stuff to do during fights - then the season is better off for it and there is no reason to dislike it, right? If you disagree, tell me why.
Also it was Konaka's decision to have the cards in, its in his early planning notes.
Jason Moore
Is this antitamersfag from /vg/?
Brandon Evans
Because it's offputting, It's not a dealbreaker but it feels more forced than the previous shows, I'll still try to look past it. But it's an observation that was clear to me from the start.
>TyrantKabuterimon Isn't that the "to go further beyond!" form?
Luke Jones
I want hate fucking with Yamato.
Samuel Sullivan
>Frontier 02 Takuya and Izumi are a great pair so far. I have to give (my recollection of) the dub this, Takuya's voice was better and Lobomon is cooler than Wolfmon
a quick look online shows no shutdown date, so it seems like its still running
Connor Thompson
To be honest, there's not much of a point to many of these, as they're not very different from each other. Valdurmon or Ornismon as a slide from Hououmon is just, well, another big bird. BanchoLilymon and Rosemon? Is there a real difference? HerakleKabuterimon and TyrantKabuterimon?
Ian Reed
Eh. I feel like alt forms should be different enough to justify them while also providing sufficient purpose within the group. Like what is even the purpose of having both WarGreymon and CredGarurumon? Omegamon and Omegamon S are literally the same thing except with their weapons in the opposite arms.
Blake Cook
Still around, somehow. Last time I checked they were adding the remaining RK.
David Brooks
I look at this, and i think changing it to them diving into the digital world fits a whole lot better. The one 20secs into the original. youtu.be/vMVdjGibgM4?t=20
Hunter Hill
This seems like a bad idea to me. You don't start off with nuclear armaggeddon. You ease up into it.
Colton Thompson
It's pretty clear that they're going to take a beating in the next episode, only to have their bacon "saved" by Omegamon and them ending up stranded (briefly) in the Digital World.
Juan Miller
Honestly, alt forms only have purpose if you're not in a team of fucking eight.
Angel Martinez
Its fine... the first arc is meant to introduce the potential of the digimon, and assuming we get a digimon war arc, or royal knights, it's already bigger threat than our wargames, atleast to the digimon world.
Xavier Turner
But I don't want Omegamon to be a separate character again...
Levi Green
I fucking hope they won't mix the Royal Knights into this shit. Unfortunately, it's not looking good.
Wyatt Taylor
Adventure is the genwun of Digimon and I'm fucking tired of it.
David Hill
They are 80% likely adding royal knights, so you better have low expectations for this one if you dont like them. I personally do.
Zachary King
Thanks anons. The game was too much of a grindfest for its own good but it had some comfy music. Surprised it's still around after 10 or so years.
They don't make money off savers, xros wars & appmon. They haven't been making much for 3 seasons whereas they make a shitton off tri & kizuna. Which do you think is a good course of action in trying to revive the franchise.
Evan Allen
Maybe Alphamon will appear as a legitimate rival and not be completely fucking wasted like it was in tri.
Owen Jenkins
Somehow I haven't gotten tired of Adventure, only of Agumon
>Omegamon in the OP >Dukemon narrates Nah, it's 95% likely they're happening. It's a damn shame.
I don't like Royal Knights because whenever they're involved it tends to sideline or outshine everyone who isn't. Especially in the Taimato wank, if Agumon and Gabumon are Cyber Sleuth'd, it just makes them more super extra special. I'd like to give spotlight to Digimon who AREN'T the 7 demon lords or Royal Knights or 3 Arch Angels or Olympus XII or some other group of purpose-crafted boss-Digimon. It's what I liked about the Dark Masters - they were a bunch of seemingly pretty random Ultimates.
Asher Wilson
leave adventure to the movie market while having original stuff in the anime, it worked for pokemons nostalgia baiting
William Green
I mean, the possibility that theres more combination than just garuru/greymon is still up there.
Wyatt Ross
Well the easy answer is to use the strength in numbers advantage. I mean there are eight of this fuckers. SURELY if Holydramon, Hououmon, Seraphimon and HerakleKabuterimon teamed up, they could use Seraphimon as a meat shield and defeat a Royal Knight. Of course, that's not actually how it ended up. In tri., five Ultimates attack Alphamon at once and accomplished precisely fuck-all.
David Lee
I actually wouldn't mind the Olympus XII, because they haven't been used as a group since the mobile game that featured them all, make them bigger then just digimon story regulars damn it
Oliver Long
The Digimon anime has never been supposed to bring in big bucks, like with Pokemon it's just a vehicle to advertise the merch and videogames, which is what makes the most money for either franchise.
Moreover, just because Tri and Kizuna made more money it doesn't mean they're not artistically-bankrupt crap.
Oliver Rivera
Pokemon can fail & fail because they're a billion $ franchise unlike digimon. Besides, their new stuff that doesnt involve ash is always better, whereas i can't say the same for digimon.
