Wait, just how big are those boilers?!
Wait, just how big are those boilers?!
The ship is also so big it would probably break apart trying to take a turn.
Scaling up a boat to that size just doesn't work that way.
But hey, it's a anime about school girls in tanks.
>Scaling up a boat to that size just doesn't work that way.
y tho
Shut up.
Right, but they at least try to point out how absurd it is in the show. Did you ever notice how all the school facilities are built for the population of entire cities?
It's retarded enough to work
y tho
I didn't watch this show did they ever say why they are living on a giant ass floating boat the size of a city???
To promote better education and foster independence in the youth.
It's a not so subtle sign that you aren't meant to take this universe seriously.
well yeah, in that tower there are watchtower windows as big as a skyscraper in the back.
The pipes in hat picture have larger diameter then houses.
How would you even maintain that monster.
But again, cute school girls in tanks.
>carbon coating
>How would you even maintain that monster.
You can't, which is why they're all slowly being shut down.
Go watch OVA 3
The amount of steel to go in one of those would probably demand the worlds production of steel for a decade.
...
Is Mako an actual cat?
I want to eat oreos
Who captains the ship. What the FUCK are those lookouts looking at, the edge of the ship considering it's size?
The principal probably, but considering how his car was in the General Studies parking lot, there may be several principals, with one in overall command.
Which crew is the best crew and why is it the StuCo?
Wait, so out of a school with thousands of students, the volleyball club couldn't find more than four members?
No one can keep up with their training. It's just too intense for mere mortals.
yes
That's pretty metal.
>thousands of students
Maybe?
The scale is kind of iffy. The carrier is massive because it has an entire town on it, which includes people who aren't students but Ooarai HS is never really shown to have more students attending than a regular highschool.
Calling the carrier a "school ship" is weird because it's more of a town than a school. Like if a city is just called a college because the college is in it.
>What the FUCK are those lookouts looking at
The water, if the picture is anything to go by
This is a lot of buildings for a regular high school.
MORE
Katyusha a shit. A SHIT!
We need more of these interactions
I can't believe Mako and Hana are fucking dead
>I didn't watch this show did they ever say why they are living on a giant ass floating boat the size of a city???
>It's a not so subtle sign that you aren't meant to take this universe seriously.
This. The director was worried that people would think this is meant to be more than a simple sports anime. Senshado is "almost" plausible, the school ships are there to push it into fantasy territory.
After the second episode, did we ever once see them inside a classroom?
The tank is their classroom!
They're all eating tonkatsu. Fuck I want tonkatsu now.
Wait, who are these dorks?
The newspaper club.
>dude let's release 6 movies years apart as the finale to our anime
who thought this was a good idea
Someone who realized they could make a lot of money and keep this show relevant for over a decade.
Have they even hit the world senshado tournament yet? That's what started this whole plot.
Why do I enjoy this show so much? It shouldn't work as well as it does but I've seen the series and movies at least 3 times now.
Because it's amazingly well executed at everything it does. Designs, direction, music, writing, acting. It is perfect in every regard.
Look at this. We see this for two seconds, but it communicates effectively that Miho is both intelligent and warm, in counter to her old school.
The show is full of little details like this.
I really enjoy that there's so many one frame scenes with a ton of stuff packed in, it makes re-watching it fun. I didn't even notice Yukari had a grenade behind her back the first time I watched das finale.
>Yamato
And that was 80 years ago.
Imagine building the biggest ship possible with today’s tech.
God I wish I were in a P-47.
Those would be cruise ships user. There are several in the 120,000 ton class now.
how can they even hope to compete with fatties?
Cruise ships are also old.
Japan can’t build a true next gen super ship because it will get destroyed immediately by other nations.
God, just give me some cluster bombs.
Most cruise ships fit through the locks of the Panama Canal. Oil tankers are bigger.
Miho did an excellent job, but literally every other school they fought acted like idiots and she exploited the flaws in their training.
Saunders purposely gimped themselves under the guise of fairness,
Anzio is Anzio,
Pravda gets baited because Katyusha is insecure,
and Kuromorimine just rushes in and gets baited at every turn, when they're not losing their head because things unfolded slightly different than they were drilled for.
St. Gloriana's might be the exception, but I don't think she fought a competent team until the movie or BC Freedom. Seriously, Japan is bad at this.
yeap. Miho a best
Aye
Miho's so cool she makes everyone else autistic
