>he's not the MC in his world
How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord
Fuck, Suck or Cuck?
Marry
I tried to read the manga because I prefer it to anime.
I hadn't hated something so much in a while.
There may be some layer of intentional shittieness which I didn't "get" which works in the novel. But I didn't "get" it from the manga.
What usually hooks me with isekai is a dose of reality with the fantasy. Because if the characters aren't affected by what's happening, why should I be?
Whether it's MC being scared of the new environment, having to deal with realistic threats to himself or others it does work towards making me care what's going on.
There is nothing worse the characters who act like the story they take part in isn't serious.
Two bitches summon something extremely powerful, then they fail to bind it, the summon declares it's the demon fucking king (of another world). Where is the panic? Nowhere, they're goofing off arguing which of them summoned it.
Then you look at the design of the equipment MC has and it's like 5 items with one or two abilities which look like early game drops in a dead on arrival MMO from 2009.
My only explanation for why it's popular is that people must enjoy it on some ironic so bad it's good level which I can't process.
I think you are expecting too much from a harem-centric product.
Maybe you're just a pleb
>I tried to read the manga
Your mistake. Never tried to read it but the art looks like dogshit. And I've heard that the artist even replaced loli lip-to-lip kiss scene with a forehead kiss. It is easily the most inferior work when comparing to the anime or novel.
it's no cat planet cuties or war on geminar but OP is still a turbo faggot for using it
I like this series cause it's comfy.
true the manga art looks crap. Though its not very interesting when there's not really much stake
