Basically it just never stopped accelerating, Mikoto didn't consider friction into her equation, used a coin for more forward range and Misaki maintained that lattice.
Maybe windowless building just requires relentless force applied on the blow. Accelerator's attack was a one-time gig so it didn't work I guess.
