I think this chapter made it pretty clear Makima is more powerful than darkness. The finger pointing at each other is a clear demonstration of a fight and Makima only ends up with a broken finger, which is the closest point to Darkness, while darkness fucking leaks blood and kneels. This makes it pretty clear Fuji wants us to know Makima is stronger and still scary. And this doesn't necessarily undermine the power of a primal devil it just shows us Makima is even more powerful than we thought and guarantees she'll have some crazy secrets

Until chapter 40 or so the art was actually quite good in a fujimoto way
After that it became inconsistent
He might have lost assistants, good assistants while serializing CSM

She was focusing on using Tolka to get out of there. After the initial pointing she didn't even give a shit about darkness anymore so she just ate his attacks up while she focused on getting everyone out. And it doesn't seem like Darkness would start by only twisting her finger at first considering he insta killed everyone else

My theory is that everything includes the soul. The sacrifices of Master are only of bodies so she need more people sacrificed but those people will reincarnate or at least not being part of a demon for all eternity.
