This guy should've been the main character

Prove me wrong. He was the hardest worker.

Deku done right.

Goku done right

They are not similar.

You're right, Goku is a special saiyan snowflake.

Your are correct Goku is a homosexual

Exactly.

No you.

Unfortunately Deku gets an entire show and fan base and Lee got jack.

>he thinks being a hard worker is worth anything
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>Lee got jack
what do you mean? Lee is the main character in the only good naruto related thing ever released.

Attached: only good thing.jpg (320x180, 18.15K)

Kishimoto proved you wrong by having Might Guy steal every single one of Lee's, characteristics, traits, and arcs.
And to make it even better, his father has the same exact backstory too.

Sasuke should have been a girl

Wonder how that would have turned out, what with Naruto being clearly gay

just watch black clover

What boruto, that's pretty much what Sarada is

watching this whole show while drunk was an experience

>Main character gets antimagic sword and demon powers
also BC is just shit

Would have been a positive if he was simply more relevant
ignoring your pic yes

well i havent finished it but no magic and works hard is basically no ninjitsu and works hard. it is shit tho.

Sarada doesn't have so much chemistry with Boruto like Sasuke had with Naruto.

They’re both about a kid with a demon inside him that pulls power out of their ass.

He should've been more relevant is what I'm saying though. How exactly is some kid with a demon, infinite chakra, plot armor, and power up after power up, deserving of the status of underdog champion?

Um, actually, Asta has a devil inside of him.

True, but do feel she's a female version on Sasuke.

Also, give it a few more ep's...

>he was the hardest worker
okay
>therefore, he should be an MC
...what? How does one lead into another? The cult of muh hard work, muh underdogs and etc is ridiculous. If you feel that threatened by characters you can't relate to/self-insert as, then you are pathetic

I watch all my anime drunk so I forget large portions of them and when I rewatch it feels like watching the very first time all over again. Would recommend.

He's literally the only character that embodies the ideal of hard work overcoming natural unearned talent, which is supposed to be the basis for Naruto's character but nope he's got a Fox inside him

Kishimoto can't write a compelling story. We're gonna need to come to terms with that.

Neji got beat in one punch and is a total jobber. Quit pretending him vs naruto was the defining battle of the series lmao

>all these creative powers and tactics get beaten by HARD WORK
>they’d add like fifty more gates
>instead of two signature moves you just have like none at all
The fact is that you can’t be a protagonist and an underdog forever. Eventually you have to add something new to keep people invested, whether it be a new angle or a character or a scenario where being able to punch really really really hard isn’t going to make people happy.

>at literally the very beginning of the series, naruto gains his first signature ability and becomes the most adept user in it despite sucking beforehand no matter how hard he tried because he read a scroll and it just kind of clicked, which was only possible because of the cursed chakra battery his dad gave him
Naruto being about hard work is the ultimate headcanon.

Naruto would have been better if Team 7 was replaced with Lee, Hinata and Shikamaru led by Guy

Admittedly chibi Lee show was good shit. It was genuinely funny unlike most of failed forced attempts at humor in main series.

She wouldn't have been important to the story like Male!Sasuke if Kishimoto was writing her.

who is jack?

>embodies the ideal of hard work overcoming natural unearned talent
except he didn't LMAO. And that was never the base for Naruto's character. Seriuosly, i feel like half of you fags never read chapter one and just came from Youtube videos or something
And what the fuck even is "unearned talent", you somehow earn it in your mom's stomach or what?

God, ultimate self-insert team

>Liking Lee instead of Gai.

How many successful people say that it was all talent? :^)

I swear faggots are the only ones who even remember this shitty fight and give so much significance to it and Neji and scream about the betrayal of the themes and etc. Most normal watchers are like "ah yeah he fought Neji yeah I think that happened once". This series was ALWAYS about destiny. If you rewatched part 1, you will see how many times do people talk about following destinies and etc. Jiraiya in particular, yes, in part 1 too

IIRC he was the most popular non Team 7 character in Naruto during the Part 1 days, so who the fuck thought it was a bright idea to force him into the background for all of Shippuden

I think really sucessful people have talent and work hard. I mean, to be sucessful you don't need to be the very best just better than the majority so hard work is ok, but to be the best you need to be an special snowflake.

Lee was sucessful enough, he even got his spin off but he can't be a shonen main character, at least not a MC from a Kishimoto's manga, cause he couldn't write a powerless mc properly.

>IIRC he was the most popular non Team 7 character in Naruto during the Part 1 days
Was he really?

Kenichi done right

GuP, Ippo, Kaji, Goblin Slayer, and Batman shows that nah.
You just need to have smarts to make the show extremely exciting to watch

I love underdog stories because not only are the stakes high, it also carries a message that hits hard

Attached: Can't do anything at all.jpg (720x1620, 288.38K)

No, he wasn't. That was Iruka

>uuuugh why does the author not lick fans' asses and write what they want to see!!! This character is popular, you should insert him in a plot he clearly doesn't belong to!
His character arc was over. Deal with this

>Batman
Yeah bro, just get rich.

Hardwork, Smarts, Connection, and Luck
Many people are working their asses off all day on double shift just to make ends meet.

Saying it's all hardwork would be like saying that they aren't working hard enough.
But of course, this is not to disrespect the successful people who went from rags to riches either
Elon Musk started his career as a common laborer in a repair shop

Foolish hardwork is a great way to be a depressed salary man.
Smarts, hardwork, and luck is what would get you somewhere
Having no heavy responsibilities like families to take care off and keeping yourself from bad habits and drug abuse, now that's what would get you really far

Attached: Chats+with+the+void_ce00c8_7572774.jpg (1200x1200, 232.68K)

He's fighting gods.

I wonder if he could do it if he wasn't rich.

Yes luck is also important, there's so many sucessful people with luck only.

Sure he can. He was part of the assassin group.

Naruto takes place in a universe where genetic superiority makes you better than everyone
The main rival is someone who's got the best genetics in the series but his people were also genocided.
One of the main antagonists is someone who's got no history of genetic superiority so instead he steals the gifts of others

A perfect underdog character would be someone who is directly at odds with the universe they live in like Rock Lee. A good lesson to all. Hard work > Genetic superiority

But the real lesson is
Genetic superiority < Being spiritually destined to be the best

Stop saying this
Naruto was outcasted for his "gifts"
Grew up alone most of his life
He worked hard to keep the kitsune from taking over him
Every new moves he got, he learned it the hardway. And none of his opponents were ever a cakewalk - even the ones where they were a team.

Naruto was never about talent. It's about unlocking your potential

By all means, I agree that Lee is a better MC hands down but don't discredit Naruto as if he never lifted a finger

youtube.com/watch?v=5C9QVGjvqj0

based design
based fighting style
based ost

yep, lee is based.

>And none of his opponents were ever a cakewalk
That zombie guy wasn't a good fight for Naruto

and all those struggles are moot when he's ninja Jesus. Narratively he was always the chosen one as any main character is, but did they literally need to make him so?

Plus they even retconned that he's also somewhat of a nobody
His dad was a Hokage
The Uzumakis actually are a clan with an ability (having lots of chakara) and are literally perfect for holding the fox

and then he masters the demon instead of using his power without it all together

N/a/ruto will belong to Yas Forums forever.

Attached: image.jpg (768x824, 148.73K)

All of his "chosen one" only guaranteed him that he won't die. And while he was the son of a Hokage, it did not earned him any fanfare - especially when you consider the fact that anyone can become a Hokage so long as they are qualified. Lineages and money mean shit in Konoha.
If you have no commendable skills that could defeat powerful enemies, no ones voting your ass.

Not to mention that having lots of Chakra were there since the very beginning. Everyone notices that Naruto is capable of enduring for a lot longer than everyone, even if often always fail.
He never walked on a golden brick road

He earned his skill and position.

Lee is just a better MC but Naruto was never a Sue

>anyone can become a Hokage so long as they are qualified. Lineages and money mean shit in Konoha.
AHAHHHAAHHHAHAHA

What?
Uchiha never had a Hokage.

Fuck, Jiraiya was a candidate.
What lineage or business does that guy has to show?
