I love all the versions of Ryoko (even the AI version with the new design), but I would say my favorite version of her in the one from Universe (including Tenchi in Love and Forever).
Ryo-Ohki Ryoko is also fantastic and it would be my second favorite Ryoko.
Tenchi in Tokyo while it wasn't that great, it had some good moments, like the date episode between Tenchi and Ryoko.

The true end was the one that Ayaka and Ryoko both realized in the last episode of the original OAV.
Sasami is the only real choice for Tenshi. He just had to stay alive for six more years for Tsunami and her to merge fully.
And then they retconned Tsunami into oblivion as if they were embarrassed that a pre-teen was best wife.

Man, the last scene of the last episode of Universe is so emotional. Tenchi is a bit melancholic, the Carnival is over and Ryoko is gone but then Ryoko appears again, to stay forever with Tenchi. Because the Carnival always comes back.
