So after I watched the second season, I still have the question: actually who the hell is Shiina Kagari?

Some future orphan but the way she's very alike to Kurisu AND came in direct contact with a Valkyria member somehow implies she's Okabe's and Kurisu's daughter from even further in the future and in a fucked up timeline that somehow managed to get into the Post-apocalyptic Zero timeline

I always applaud Stiens Gate for having tight logic in it's time travel but honestly with the way they set it up there's so many unknown factors you can't be sure of what's happening.

There is not such a thing as a VN worth spending your time in, even the trashiest LN is superior.

Yeah anyways, and then there's this unexplained plot point in which Daru's future wife turns out to be Kagari, a double agent who wasn't even recognized by Suzuha, while the real deal was, unbeknownst to everyone, just on a trip the whole time. Which is never addressed again after the revelation.

Steins;gate 0 isn't a bad game, but it's still shit.

I think it's very important to remember that Zero isn't 'the second season of S;G', it's the anime adaption of an interquel to the original VN. The story gets easier to digest when you don't try and match it up as closely and treat it as a second, related work.

It’s not a second season, and they’re adaptations of visual novels. The VN had plenty of time to explain it but didn’t. Not much too explain really, it’s just a bait and switch to make people think she’s related to Kurisu.

The daughter version could be acceptable. Remember: Kagari was about 10 years old in 2036, so she was born 16 years after Kurisu met with Okabe. And just look at those two and admit it, with this attitude they must have at least one and half a decade to make a real child...

Just a random girl who had nothing to do with Kurisu in Epigraph, but it's not until the development of 0 that the writers realized their similarities, which then they decided to wrote the narratives around it

In the timelines where Kagari poses as Yuki, the real Yuki is in Europe if I'm remembering correctly.
There isn't anything else to address in that situation. Kagari is "Yuki", Yuki is studying abroad. She'll eventually do the needful to make Suzuha.
That's as far as her usefulness goes in this VN. She has no role of importance to play in the V&A Worldlines were she come back.

No she couldn't. Kurisu dies in Radikan the 28 of July, 2010 in every single Beta Worldline, and Kurisu couldn't have had a daughter before that unless she was raped. Kurisu being raped was never established in this franchise, or else we'd be able to understand something like that happened with her interactions in the original VN, therefore it didn't happen.
The Time Travel mechanics of S;G are super simple to understand.

Kurisu's also explicitly a kissless virgin before meeting Okabe, so unless the past is radically different in Beta before the branch point, it wouldn't make sense going backwards.
