This is fucking stupid

This is fucking stupid
U mad?
ao no flag? More like your a fag.
Why not? It happened to your dad
More like no way fag.
Both Tai and Itachi couldn't beat the cock.
MC has been acting off for ages, OP, it's not our fault you couldn't tell.
Stop self-inserting user.
>now
do you think he banged the other midget while they were still a couple?
He probably called her "Touma" while they were having sex and that's why they broke up
Maybe you should have been paying attention instead of speedreading, there are enough hints throughout the manga to point to this ending, the whole story is about coming to terms with their sexual identities and him going around with Touma's friends was about him realizing his feelings for Touma.
There are people who didn't even understand Touma was gay; I wouldn't bother.
The ending encapsulates what the heterosexual male is afraid of when associating with a homosexual male, the heterosexual is afraid of realizing that he was homosexual the whole time, he just never realized it before.
When its all said and done, I think a dude helping a girl hook up with his bro is a supper gay thing to do. When toradora, and other such stories with the same premise try to present the mc as something bigger than a cuck, while not being internally homosexual, its all an otaku pipe dream.
Imagine if it went the other way, if it ended with Touma going straight and marrying Futaba.
To be fair to him it’s pretty easy to get the two mixed up.
I’d say it depends on the circumstances but in this case he memorized and analyzed what his bro described as his ideal type of girl for years. Speculating and imagining who Touma wanted to fuck for that long is pretty gay.

why is this getting so many threads
did that many people read it or is it just the same baiters/shitposters every time
I guess it's either people that are too happy we actually got a Touma end or anons that are mad about the ending, but the threads always end up with the same 20 anons going back and forth. It'll calm down in a week or so in my opinion, it's still fresh after all
>seething hetfags
>NTR'd /u/shitters btfo'd to eternity
>the usual hysterical fujos and homo croud arguing with each other if the ending was good or shit
>shitposters and baiters from other threads
Hm... I wonder why, it's a mystery.
>another thread up
You guys just can't quit huh?
Good timing anyway. I've decided to read this and am up to the part where they decide to date officially. It does feel strange for a supposedly straight romance manga to put all this focus and intensity on the gay best friend. Normally there wouldn't be gay angst intercutting the confession, and in this case the full confession and reaction wasn't even portrayed, and the official announcement was drawn like more angst fodder for Touma instead of a couple celebration.
But on the MC side, so far nothing has leapt out that shows him being a bisex. But nothing that makes me think it's impossible, either. He steals a lot of glances, but without the prior knowledge of the end I'd probably have brushed those off.
>intensity on the gay best friend
*on the relationship with the gay best friend
>He steals a lot of glances
Mostly it's the way those are drawn, their frequency, and what they're focusing on everytime. I started reading this not knowing what to expect, and there are several pages where the art and paneling really made me question the author's intent in drawing this that way, drawing attention to that part, or insist on the way Taichi reacts to something Touma says or does.
And why the same doesn't happen with Futaba.
You’ll admit it was cute when Taichi said it made him happy that Touma remembered what he wanted to get from his crush and butted in to make it happen though.
Remember the handhold scene, with him looking at her neck and shit? Just panels of him looking. The thing is, there's also been shots of him looking up to Touma like that. I don't remember things like this when he interacts with others, but this could be because they're the other two mains.
It was. But it's always just small moments like this. There's enough of them that I get a kind of vibe, but I also feel like I'm attuned to them because I have prior knowledge.
If I hadn't known I might have still gotten a vibe, but I sure as hell would then dismiss it.
my gay friend coughed on me once and next morning i woke up loving cocks. Be careful, that can happen to anyone
>Hurrr hurr I guess I like cock now
That has literally been my experience with futas and traps. One day I just realized that I like cock now.
You'd dismiss it not because there wasn't any vibe or foreshadowing but simply because you'd think there's no way the manga goes this way. Because it literally never happened and was always cheap homobait and you know it. Now however, there is a precedent so I hope more authors realise you can do that and the world won't burn.
As for myself, a moment that made me think there’s likely something there was the last few pages of chapter 35. Wonder if you’ll end up getting the same impression.
I see what you mean, but then I think back to scenes like the one on the crowded train and wonder: if you're not meant to question Taichi's reaction there, how do you explain that scene being there at all? It's not just one panel of them taking the train, it's a pretty long part, and the way it's drawn does call attention to several key details. How did those who never saw anything explain that one away?
>my gay friend coughed on me once and
That's just covid. I hope you get better.
Same exact thing happened in Boku Girl and I'm still mad.
> the lesbian married a dude
yikes
/u/ is BTFO
Cock always wins, after all.
>but simply because you'd think there's no way the manga goes this way.
True. But even if it were straight, as far as foreshadowing goes I'd still think it was weak. But I haven't read the rest of the manga yet.
>as far as foreshadowing goes I'd still think it was weak.
No one is saying it's the pinnacle of gay romance or anything. But people are just confusing concepts, they say there were no signs when in reality everyone just completely shut their brains to them because it never happened before and no one expected it to happen now. That doesn't mean said signs didn't exist.
I’m a fujo and even I can see why people say it came out of nowhere
This. No one's ever said it was explicit or anything, but there were hints alright. If I recall correctly, I started noticing them after I realized Touma was gay for his best friend so I started wondering whether he had a chance or not.
And the hints are...?
I'll keep this in mind user.
Oh, no. I'm still halfway through, but even if I did dismiss the vibe with "kek, like that's ever gonna happen" if I hadn't known, or think it weak as I do right now, I won't say there's nothing.
Fujos usually manage to find subtext where there is none and you managed not to see anything? I am sceptical.
It's ok. I take it you're so used to being baited you don't take anything other than literall butfucking as a hint of actuall homo. You don't need to tell me that. I was confused and kind of shoked about the ending too, so I thought about it for a couple of days and suddenly my state of mind all made sense.
I actually started this series suspecting Taichi is bisexual, but halfway through or closer to the end just figured out this was not the case. And now this came out and I just don't believe it
Everywhere in the previous threads. I'm not combing the entire thing for you if you never noticed anything.
*claps* Bravo! bravo! This is a win for progressivism!
So there really aren’t any, okay.
Even as a probably a bit sloopy attempt I appreciate the thing Kaito tried to do here. I don't think it's a spectacular manga or anything but it's a precedent for something that wasn't done before and I appreciate the effort.
Why do romance manga bring more shitposting than fucking battle shounen these days? These threads are almost Yas Forums-tier with the baits and shitposts
Tales of zestiria did it before
Congratulations, you can't even read properly.
>sudden time skip lesbophobic shounentrash
Read superior critically acclaimed manga instead
user, you need to accept that there was no build up, it ok it’s not your fault
I don't care what the shitposters say, this was beautiful. The author tried to convey a lot of meaning through little things like pic related, and I loved it no matter how hard people will pretend they're not there.
Well I don't claim to have read every manga and watched every anime in existence but you can't disagree that these cases are extremely scarce if any. So even with these baby steps in this trend I'm happy and I'm gonna take them.
>halfway through or closer to the end just figured out this was not the case
Can’t say I relate desu
c'mon it's not that hard to see why.
ever since the whole alphabet community started getting a spotlight in the public eye they've been popping up everywhere.
>pic
This was really subtle. I loved it.
what is this, i want to read it now
Ao no flag
>Taichi is gay
>Lesbo married a dude
holy shit this makes no sense now, what the fuck happened to Masumi.
She just settled for a literally who?
Is this what Sakurafags and Rukiafags felt?
>I don't like/support something so if I close my eyes it doesn't exist
Ok, interesting worldview. Your life must be uneasy.
>half of the manga is MC fretting over being gay and the weird signals his crush sends
>yeah whatev I guess it's time for a genderless person flying around and LESBIAN WEDDING YEAH
Shimanami had such a stupid progression. Mr. Tchaikovsky was the only truly interesting and moving part.
>Shimanami had such a stupid progression.
axed manga
Please read slowly it was explained a thousand times already but I'll attempt to do it again. See Touma and Masumi were opposites Touma is shown to fight for his love and his choices. He took risk, while Masumi was never willing to go that far. They're shown as opposites and their life is a direct result of the choices they made. So Touma got his husband and Masumi settled for a man copy of her school crush. It's not some wish fulfillment fairy tail but a realistic outcome of their life styles.
