Maybe.

Noda is frequently remarked upon as having her work done ahead of time and is just hanging around while the other girls finish their work.

I like how the characters feel multidimensional in GA. They don't feel too much like cookie-cutter trope cute girls.

This is what I agree on. Unlike many other Kirara shows, GA uses typical moe archetypes and expands upon them as to make a subtly multidimensional effect.

how much from the manga does the anime cover ?

The anime covers the more comedic parts of the first 3 volumes, fitting Hiroaki Sakurai's style and skipping into some of the parts that made the GA manga so great.

Her name's Mari and she comes from France.

Also, the VN is mosly for the endings. The main route is pretty derivative from what already happened in the anime. The good side is, however, that it's translated.

Not really. You'll get a few other characters introduced sooner than in the manga, but it skips most of the big developments.

It does stay as a 4koma, but Kiyuduki is pretty creative with it.
