I wonder if there was a version of original movie happen in this continuity.

REMINDER THAT TAICHI IS NOT IN THE DIGITAL WORLD YET, THIS AREA IS THE NET, BETWEEN THE REAL AND DIGITAL WORLDS!

I would guess not. The pink light when Taichi catches Koromon while falling into the Net appears to be Colon's version of the Greymon/Parrotmon "trigger" for the Chosen. We'll hopefully get Yamato's explanation on how he made it into the Net on Sunday.

I should have really put that in the OP considering how many people didn't pick it up.

I heard somewhere that the series director is a shotacon/fujoshi. Does this mean TaichixYamato will finally become a reality?

>curious to see how the dub handled Tri
>Piyomon sounds nothing like she did in the original series
Pretty fucking generic voice too. The hell is with the random rasp.
youtu.be/Z5Hbn11xw50?t=250

Canon? No
Fanservice? Yes.

To be fair the whole point of that fight was to make Hideto Fujimoto understand that he wasn't fighting for the right reasons. They could just de-fuse and re-fuse as Hideto was saying and keep fighting with no issue but they refused.
Based on that ending I always saw it as they weren't really fighting using 100% of their power as they kinda wanted to lose after seeing Taichi's relationship with his Digimon.

I feel for all the burger anons. Always thought they just didn't have butter fly, but they actually missed out on the whole OST including all the iconic songs? Feels bad. Not suprised that there is less nostalgia for Digimon in the US.

Just wait for it's localization by next year.

Not just burgers. Bongs got that Saban dub as well.

I was getting fujo vibes from the ep and ed, and I had no idea why

>jumping into Our War Game in the second episode
Why?

Not as bad as us netherlanders.
We got a fucking dub of the saban dub.

Why not? It's a simple and straightforward plotline with the stakes, action and heart to pull your audience in and hook them.

Thanks user. Last thread bummed me out.
For what it's worth, while I am bummed we missed out on top shelf musical content, I'd like to believe the sentiments and primary content of the show made it through localization, and while most Americans are quick to dismiss Digimon as a Pokémon rip off, if they know about it at all, I look back on the parts of the show that were most important to me with the fondest nostalgia.
Between this and last thread though, I do find myself feeling like going back and rewatching a Sub version of the original.

It's not even just the soundtracks, they changed most of the dialogue to corny jokes so there were less deep/sad moments.
For example, during Machinedramon's fight they put some action soundtracks and made coromon say "I sliced you like an onion!" instead of the sad, nostalgic soundtrack the original had because all the numemon had just sacrificed to save Kairi and coromon's speech about friendship.

The angemon scene was also dumbed down a lot in the english dub too by making the digimon say "funny things" while getting hit instead of regretting not being able to save and protect the kids.
Here is a link of that scene in both versions for comparison:

dear me

>I'd like to believe the sentiments and primary content of the show made it through localization
user, I...

>Between this and last thread though, I do find myself feeling like going back and rewatching a Sub version of the original.
Do it. Animation is shit and there's a lot of stock footage, but the story, characters and music more than make up for it.

>dub also changed the point in the movie where the scene takes place. The English version moves it to the end of the movie, but originally, it was right before the final battle and was a demonstration of how far gone Chocomon was mentally at that point. This Digimon has literally been driven insane, and this scene was the turning point in which Wallace realizes there's no way to save him and that he has no choice but to kill his own Digimon.

>But nah, the English version is just like, "See, he's fine! He's just dancin'!

Attached: rlwkerjwkle.jpg (575x287, 22.18K)

holy fuck
I knew they butchered hurricane touchdown but wow

If you're wondering why the cast from Adventure was on that movie, the dub took out this plot point entirely:
youtube.com/watch?v=gmU6yTDzS3U&feature=emb_rel_pause

wasn't* on that movie

The English dub is absolutely awful, not only did they replace the music with garbage, they also inserted random puns everywhere, shit voice actors did a hack job generally and they fucked with the script to make it more 'funny.'

Its worse than a joke dub, in Tamers case they changed some major character shit because of their incompetence. The English dub is not excusable in any way, it is absolutely abysmal

People often bring up how bad the first Finnish dub was regarding Digimon (and it was), but I'm always warmed by the thought that at least it wasn't as bad as the English one. At least you can laugh at how bad the Finnish one was (before they changed the company, then it became very good), but the english one is just... sad.

>not only did they replace the music with garbage, they also inserted random puns everywhere, shit voice actors did a hack job generally and they fucked with the script to make it more 'funny.'
Yeah, one of the big things I noticed about the original when I watched it for the first time was how quiet it is in comparison.

>in Tamers case they changed some major character shit because of their incompetence
Don't get me started on how the dub ruined Mimi's character, making her needlessly unpopular in the eyes of the Western fanbase.

>The English dub is not excusable in any way, it is absolutely abysmal
Which makes people wanting an English dub of Colon due to the Adventure dub absurd. I know it was 20 years ago but still.

Sure thing, weeaboo

Goddamn this horrible. Even the jokes after he transformed kinda changed the mood to a lighter one.

damn shame YouTube Kids cleared years of comments from videos like that

Its all true you 80 IQ subhuman
t. Germanfag who grew up with a real dub

It's just odd to go right into something with such high stakes. Where is the series going to go from here?

What do you mean? This is just a train. The ultimate enemy will lileky threaten millions of people.

I think user means "Why are they recreating Our War Game in episode 2?". It's a valid concern.

And speaking of OWG, this is neat: twitter.com/FiorelliIvan/status/1247937556613935106

I agree, raising the stakes too fast doesn't sound like a good idea. It already felt fast paced on episode one and episode 2 looks to be even faster.

I got Taiki vibe in this new Taichi ngl.
Not a bad thing, but the story has the same atmosphere as XW, at least when the director directed couples of episodes (and those episodes carried the series).

Every time I remember this change l can only ask myself, what the fuck were they thinking? Seriously, it's okay if you are dumb enough to crack dumb jokes in serious scenes (I guess), but how do you take a scene about a kid realizing his partner is so mentally damaged the kindest thing he can do is murder him and turn it into "huh? he's dancing! lol, so weird"

Isn't it a missile from a military ship this time. And budget diablomon seems eaey to beat

Best ships

Takari
Yamato x Mimi
Izzy gets a boyfriend

It's less that, and more "What comes next?"

How fast is too fast?

>Takeru
>Straight

Please, Takeru wants his oniichan even more than Hikari does.

Pretty much, the original started with kids stranded in an island trying to survive, then kids stranded in a different World trying to survive and get back, then it's not only the kids who are in danger but the real World too.

With the new one we skipped straight to the last one on episode 1 and 2.

digimon has plenty of galaxy threatening abominations to fight, the power curve will be fine

Yeah, in the original Adventure series, the kids grow to become the heroes they were chosen to become. In here it seems Taichi and Yamato (and Koushiro) start as heroes who save the world. In episode 2.

>galaxy threatening abominations
Go away, Kakudou.

digimon in space will happen, and (ya)matt(o) will become the astronaut he was clearly meant to be

>dubfags

Yamato is Taichifucker and Mimi is nerdfucker.

Threats to the galaxy are too large. I don't think it's a level of abstraction that human beings can properly comprehend.

Don't remember much from the spanish latin dub. Only remember really liking the singer's voice in the ED.
youtube.com/watch?v=pZgzmoGKr-Q

that doesn't stop super robot anime, and digimon is like 2 steps away from that at any given moment in time, so I think it'll work

>Mimi is nerdfucker.
How will Koushiro react when he realises a fellow Chosen is a business empire heiress?

Hey now Takeru loves his onii-chan but isn't going to lust after him like Hikari does with Taichi.

Is this what winning the lottery feels like?

Attached: lucemon.jpg (320x320, 59.32K)

thank goodness my country based the dub on the japanese version. the show could be a totally failure here with that shitty murica version. unfortunately, I cant say the same about the movie

I mean it's 2020, there's a lot of ways to fuck with technology. Though, that also depends if the writers are creative.

cute

Attached: partner.png (711x671, 243.71K)

I can't complain

Attached: terriermon_x.jpg (320x320, 20.12K)

Also, from what i see. I think algomon's the only one who can fuck with technology aside from diablomon, cant confirm tho.

>Takari
will never a thing, 02, Tri, Kizuna she always gets together with chad takeru like his chad brother with sora
