I've never understood this mentality. A number of shows decried as yuribait are not cynically exploiting yurifags for a couple extra sales (although some are). Most of them are created by yurifags to explicitly appeal to other yurifags foremost. Why must there be a kiss or 100% explicit confession when the authors' intentions are clear? Is it some sort of PTSD from the days when girls would suddenly get boyfriends?

Listen here, Yuri isn't slice of life. You think that is because you don't know anything but "yuri" anime. Yuri in anime is just yuri-bait as a cute gimmick in moe anime not actual yuri.
A Yuri-manga is about girls who fuck each other. The reason why I prefer yuri over straight romances is because in anime and manga there are quite a lot of problems when it comes to male-MCs. Which makes many good stories quite unbearable at one point.

That is my understanding as well, but I don't see how the anime will be any better in that regard. Most anime adaptations remove internal monologues. I'm going to watch it anyway, hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Who cares what non-yurifags think? Even if the couple did explicitly kiss/confess, what's to stop someone from saying, "it's all a phase! they'll learn to love cocks when their older". Urara is a good example. No explicit kiss/confession but it's obvious that Harikamo is trying to make some form of yuri. But more "serious" yurifags will go on about how they were tricked into reading a good SoL that only has some yuri.

First 3 episodes didn't appeal to me Yuri or not, I don't watch something just for the promise of yuri, best yuri stories are those that have it as something aside and not focus on it, otherwise you get trash like citrus. Instead the entire movie depicts the actors and actresses casually chatting with each other and the audience is intended to imagine the sexual encounters having the casual interactions between the actors and actresses as basis.
