The idea of an empowered female character is not a girl who flies around like Mikasa and can kick the asses of some brainless unrealistic titans because muh special power. On the contrary, it's related to having either authority over other characters (realistic ones) or executing said authority, behaving in a condescending and smart-ass authoritative fashion in general, being assertive towards those she likes instead of shy and confused. The last one is the reason why most land whales make those butthurt huh? eh? posts about Mikasa's reaction to Eren's question, because such shy behavior from a female mc is unnerving to the whale. The prefered model is more often a tsunny cocksure attitude towards a male MC, kinda like Rukia was always a smartass loudmouth towards Ichigo. This turns whales on because in their low level mentality they see such a cheap village attitude as empowering, also because the majority of female trash behaves like this. Political power is also a factor, whether a female character has influence or authority over others and especially if she somehow """developed""" aka changed. The most common attraction point of brainless feminist whales is that a female character should "change" from a nice shy girl to some loudmouth assertive cunt, thus most Pissu fans hope how Historia's arc depicts this feminist predefined ideal of transitioning towards """improvement""".
