The animation of Babylonia was mostly mediocre with all the shitty CG like PS3 Tiamat dragging it futher down. Not to mention how badly they fucked up the King Hassan scene.

Yes, and I used to be really into FGO. Mobage stories don't work when translated to anime unless you do some heavy rewriting and they obviously didn't bother to do that. Also cringe character designs like Ushi. Can't take that kind of shit seriously outside of mobages.

I think they were pretty forgetable, albeit the Gil ones were nice but were so small. For example Fate Apocrypha had a way worse story but the characters and the fights were way better.

I've already seen fate apocrypha, it had in my opinion worst fights when it comes to "ultimate" powers but It got us lots of astolfo fan art and doujin. So my pp is happy enough about that series.

The production team for Babylonia was fucking stacked, and it still managed to be nothing more than generic high fantasy anime (albeit given that it's fate it's going to be somewhat conceptually different than most). You can tell the team itself, while probably paid a lot (unlikely, probably went into advertising and merchandising) and as a result generally then putting out a higher and consistent level of effort into the animation, didn't really care about the overall project in the end.

Releasing the 7th singularity before the 6th is definitely a mistake.
