You do know this just makes it clear that the production was a disaster right? A lot of series get most of their episodes done before the season starts, especially 1 cour ones.

PVs being released really late is highly unusual right? The only case I can think of where that happened and the show wasn't delayed was Rifle is Beautiful, where the PV didn't drop until about three or so days before the premiere.

Apparently the issue with Japan is that remote working isn't really a thing there in most cases. Japan's notoriously behind the times technologically-speaking, they even use fax machines for example.

A lot of work is still done on paper and the studios can't get their production runners to pick up the finished work with the lockdown. Animation supervision will also take a longer time as the supervisor can't just walk over to the animator's desk to give feedback.

The other ones have only announced they are delaying the airing from Spring to Summer and still doesn't have a specific airing date.
