What is the creator's problem with Naga. She's popular enough to get used as a guest character in gacha game crossovers but for whatever reason they still drag their feet to include her in the actual series. Why?

Naga is ridiculously powerful. She has a higher magic capacity than Lina, she has a wider spell selection than Lina, and she's nigh-invulnerable to injury because she has Saillune retard durability. The only reason that Lina is "stronger" is because Lina knows how to cast Dragon Slave; if Naga learned that, she'd be undeniably the strongest spellcaster alive, with the exception of Luna who's carrying a fragment of God inside of her.

Furthermore, if Naga meets Amelia, then her journey comes to an end. The whole reason she leaves home is due to serious trauma from seeing her mom murdered, and then tearing apart the murderer with magic. Even while adventuring Naga is shown to be an alcoholic, and the reason she makes Lina her adversary is to become the strongest out of a sad belief that if she had been stronger in the past, she could have saved her mom. If Naga meets Amelia, she has to face that past she's trying to avoid.

The problem with Naga being so strong is that she makes the other characters in the anime party irrelevant.

Naga knows Flow Break and Resurrection, and could potentially know Ra Tilt, making her a superior Amelia. Her access to golemancy, dragon summoning, and mastery of water shamanism makes her better than what Zelgadis can bring, though he technically still has a role as a swordsman since Naga's hemophobia prevents her from melee fights. Despite power, her personality complements Lina's, which ruins the balance that's established with how Lina and Gourry work off of each other.

There are BD rips available, but I prefer the DVDs. The BDs are a smudgy mess and a lot of the original detail is lost in the "remastering".

Yes, Lina and Gourry are trying to figure out how to get back home since they were teleported off-continent by one of Dynast Grausherra's subordinates. The problem is that every spellcaster went to Lina's continent 1,000 years ago during the Great Koma War, so magic basically doesn't exist in most parts "off-continent", so Lina doesn't have a Sorcerer's Guild resource that has maps, or spell reagents, or any resource book to make figuring out where home is and how to get there any easier.

Since creators didn't have money for good animation, so it was compensated by different unnecessary angles. It was easy, 'cause they traced three-dimensional models of the characters.

At some scenes 3d masked well, but sometimes rough work still hurts the eyes. Especially in the poses of figures and the position of light and shadows.
