Gabi is they key on defeating the Alien, turnout Gabi is rightful ruler of the Alien Kingdom but got transported when a coup d'etat happen. It's up to Eren and friends to help Gabi to claim her place as the Alien Princess.

Now that EVERYTHING is truly set-up, Isayama could end this in two chapters if he wanted to give us a kino ending.
In the next chapter Reiner and Annie go with Armin in the plane because they fear he might actually join Eren.
They get near Eren and try to reason with him. He says something like "If someone tries to take away my freedom, I won't hesitate to take away theirs". They try to transform, Eren doesn't allow it this time and efortlessly catches all of them with his hands / tentacles.
Change of focus to show Mikasa dying when trying to save Gabi from a bullet or something.
Gabi is put under arrest with Falco (since nobody knows he has the jaws).
Piecke sees that everything is hopeless and runs away from the harbor with Magath, abandoning the rest of the cringevengers who die pathetic deaths. Yelena is spared for some reason and is laughing her ass off at everything.
At the harbor the only ones left are a handful of yeagerists.
Focus changes back to Eren, sitting alone in some frost land. He looks at the ocean while holding what's left of Armin's lifeless body and crying.
The wall titans stopped because there's nothing else to kill. Eren says to himself: "it was the only way... You had no choice... Now you're free Eren... Now... *changes to Eren holding Historia's kid*:
"You are free."
