Card game on Gundam hype.
Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS

Reminder that the greatest kid protagonist ever, Gon Freecss, was 11 years old and had a simple dream to become the best Hunter in the world. Not much different from 11 year old Yuga wanting to become the Duel King. If these amateurs have 1/10th the writing ability of Togashi they could make these kids compelling to watch.
Here's your discount Killua.
Yes, please. Give me my YGO mecha! Esspecially with THAT soundtrack!
Also suit Romin is hot as fuck.
You mean young revulva right?
I have a feeling that Goku was even younger at the beginning of Dragon Ball.
>All the gallopfags fucked off
>All the master rule players fucked off
>All the loli/shota badfags fucked off
We're in for comfy times, bros. I can't wait to play rush duel, I haven't been this excited for a Yugioh series since GX
So we are Ripping off Darling in Franxx after all?
>If these amateurs have 1/10th the writing ability of Togashi
Can't wait for a duel where they only talk about the effect of the monsters card.
Gon was already cool and interesting from episode 1. They have to put more effort into yuga.
GX was all Gallop you faggot. It was great because of Gallop.
No but there's enough white haired shotas to go around.
None of these are true.

Comfy/10
>Vanguard director
>immediately implement the Vanguard style of focus on comfy slice of life, natural character interactions, and comedy
>everyone loves it
Maybe now you guys will stop calling it a YGO ripoff and have a better appreciation.
Thanks
>a better appreciation
Yeah, of YGO.
>Vanguard director
>immediately implement the Vanguard style of focus on shit slice of life, useless character interactions, and no duels
>everyone hates it
Fixed it for you
Vanguard is boring, the monsters design is also trash, no matter what Sevens is still Yugioh.
Whatever. If we get explosive mecha action with this Sawano-like OST and Romin in suit, I'm fine with anything.
>Sevens is still Yugioh.
Nah this shit isn’t Yugioh it’s a soulless product without the original people who made Yugioh what it is today. It just has the brand name attached. No one would care for this if it were another card game anime.
Sadly this Manga died for me when he went full Hulk mode. So stupid
>It's been 3 years since FranXX ended and newfags STILL find the way to make themselves look pathetic
Will they duel vs others mecha or Kaijus?
I miss Vrains
Coming from the end of VRAINS and seeing this I definitely have more of an appreciation for it. I still don’t really like the first two seasons all that much but I definitely felt emotional near the end.
>Nah this shit isn’t Yugioh it’s a soulless product without the original people who made Yugioh what it is today. It just has the brand name attached.
People been saying the same about Vrains but at least Vrains had the art style. Still i think we should be more open minded about this. After all the occult is one of YGO signatures and we haven't had had since 5D's
I miss Soulburner
VRAINS was ygo. Yoshida still knew what he was doing. Now ARC-V you can argue wasn’t ygo.
>After all the occult is one of YGO signatures and we haven't had had since 5D's
That's only because you lack the vision. The occult is there it just takes a little to see it. If you were complaining about how the occult in the shows didn't match with the story or themes or characters, perhaps your views would be more valid.
>what he was doing
a borig piece of shit that has no manga and ended earlier? Fuck off drainsfag.
>VRAINS was ygo
Only YGO it had was the name, cards and arty style. Everything else? not so much
Cry all you want. VRAINS was more YGO than this shit is so far. SEVENS is LITERALLY no different than Beyblade or Bakugan or [insert kid's anime] here.
>Yoshida still knew what he was doing
HAHAHAHAHA goddamn are you seriously defending Yoshida's putrid writing?
yes, if you want to watch one episode every year.
>SEVENS is LITERALLY no different than Beyblade or Bakugan or [insert kid's anime] here.
Explain why, and no, just because the art style is different it means is no YGO
>Card Games
Check
>Weird MC hair
Check
>Edgy rival

What is Yu-Gi-Oh! for you exactly?
This. Take off the YGO name and it's just another dime a dozen card game anime no one will look twice at.
I don't know how about you, but this guy feels to me like ripped straight from Franxx. Add that possible mecha element and one can't unnotice certain degree of similarity.
I've seen that design in many videogame villains.
How many of them were mecha?
While I agree he looks bland and generic like everything else
>ripped straight from Franxx
I didn't watch Franxx. Who's the villain there that looks like that?
A bunch of old 70s and 80s super robot anime villains had similar designs
Franxx doesn't have an original bone in its body
Literally why would that matter? SEVENS is not mecha
Color swap him and he could pretty much fit between those.
>Franxx doesn't have an original bone in its body
Well, can't disagree.
The absolute state of togashi
Mecha vs Kaiju duels soon.
Even better if the "Kaijus" are just old Yugioh giant cards monsters like Shadoll, Monarch etc.
Sevens villain looks more like Darth Vader than these
Yet, after dealing with Goha press the obvious next step will be mecha dueling, they can't make 100+ ep just with Goha press being the villain.
Wew dude c'mon just because of the mask? You are reaching here.
Same.
>SEVENS is not mecha
Let's talk about this again after first cour end and we properly know what SEVENS is about. Remember most of previous series don't revealed they main plot gimmicks until some eight episode.
I disagree, mostly because these guys actually look better than the Goha boss.
They look more serious yeah, Gaho's villain looks from a tokutsu or whatever those Japanese power rangers are called
Mask, cape and mecha. Yep, maybe I little overthinking here.
Just as when people saw Code Geass in 5D's because Aki looked too much as Kallen.
You can literally apply that to any card game anime because they all have that. YGO to me is hard to define because I could spend hours talking about it but to distill it down to one main point: Ridiculousness. YGO from the getgo turns everything upside down and subverts most of the conventions of the genre. Yes it relies on basic things like friendship and uses character archetypes but it turns it up to 11 in most cases. Everything is over-exaggerated and insane. The characters feel larger than life, the story feels magical and you can't help but feel what you're watching is so utterly stupid but you're entranced by what's going on.
Aki > Kallen tho
Super Sentai, a franchise in a shittier state than YGO lmao
More prove that they are going for Mecha yugioh soon, the reveal will be cool.
Ok? then we can agree Sevens is YGO
The mecha will be just like the rocket from ARC-V. Forgotten and never touched upon.
As of the first episode not really. This first episode was pretty tame by all means.
Don't remind me, all those theories gone like a turd in the wind
If mecha is a monster, why does it hold a card?
Whatever, but you usually don't put tease like this in preopening dream sequence, unless you truly plans SOMETHING with stuff.
If there was truly no meaning in sequence, then they easily could use random no name characters in mask, and not something what clearly looks like main cast.
You are dumb nips loved it and it was better than vrains, zexal first EP easy.
>Shun casually flying on his RR through the sky at high speed
I want Ono back.
Shh user, let people have some hope.
The fuck are you talking about, GX, DM and 5D's are tame too
>This first episode was pretty tame by all means.
The episode was like any other YGO first episodes dude, GENERIC AND SAFE.
That rocket was at least clearly random in OP.
This isn't.
God this was the coolest shit. I don't care what happens to his character in the show, this will always be what comes to mind when I think of Shun.
How will this shit even work dude? The mecha will have a specif deck with all the main cast favorite cards?
Holy fuck. Rush duel is very fun. Sevens has been well received in JP too. Maybe this could start a new franchise, Rush.
MONDAINAI
O
N
IT'S RITUAL DIMENSION ALL OVER AGAIN
YOU GUYS WILL BE DISSAPOINTED DON'T TELL I DIDN'T WARN YOUR GUYS.
The only thing that could ease the pain from not having a 4th season is a new Tag force game that includes one.
I forgot about GX having a pretty normal episode admittedly but DM and 5Ds definitely weren't tame. DM introduced Kaiba as an insane maniac who sent Solomon to the hospital and had the gall to tear up a billion dollar card right in front of him. Then it had Exodia which is one of the most iconic scenes.
5Ds had the gritty, dystopian setting of Satellite mashed with the high-octane concept of Turbo Dueling. And the MC has to play a card game so he doesn't get arrested. Card games on motorcycles is ridiculousness.
>Nips liked the first episode
>Rush cards apparently selling well
>Sevens has GX and Zexal vibes
If things stay like this and they ad edge, Sevens could very well become one of Japan favorite YGO
Not sure, but so far it gives vibe, that mecha is some Zord-like thing for main cast and has card positions on it's whole body. Is possible that whole mech is duel disk.
Nips liked ARC-V and VRAINS in the first year. This literally means nothing. The cracks will show soon enough like with every long running show but the problem is here these people are all inexperienced.
>and VRAINS in the first year
Not true
Rush duel concept sounds terrible honestly. There's no long term game balance and once Konami starts making broken cards it will get worse. It's quite literally a pump and dump format. Kids play it and get bored because of how basic and repetitive it is and then they move on to the big boy main game.
Oh that would be pretty funny. Are Rush Duels unga bunga enough for a spellcaster-dragon-warrior-psychic deck?
Nobody liked VRAINS
It's almost like they are releasing new cards almost every fucking day
It had very good nico ratings in its first season
I'm seeing people using Dragon with some spellcaster cards on Edopro so yeah I guess
They have been trying to go slow on the powercreep I feel. All those monsters with shitty stats but still needing tributes.
