I read the manga. Its well written. If anime does justice, it should great.
It goes into more detail about fishing than yurucamp does about camping.

Why were Koisuru Asteroid and Tamayomi so bland and boring? Kirara shows are usually fun and enjoyable, but those series have not lived up to expectations.

Koisuru Asteroid was pure diabetic indulgence, idk what you expected. I enjoyed it. The girls were cute and did yuri things.

It was less tropey than the average Kirara anime.

That's how anime is. I see lots of praise for Machikado Mazoku, but I find that show insufferable. In the end, it comes to personal taste and what we're looking for, and Koisuru's cute character designs and dialed back tone was all I wanted.

Personally I had the opposite opinion: it was one of the tropiest Kirara shows ever. The characters looked and felt like copypastes, and the events in the series seemed like the writers were going through a checklist.

Personally I don't think that it felt much like a Kirara anime. That's probably part of why you disliked it. It didn't have the Kirara tropes you were looking for.

I hope it's good because Tamayomi is shaping up to be the worst Kirara show by some margin.

I'm pretty sure you guys hated Tamayomi because of how bad the animation is. There was a baseball anime just last year with the same bad quality and this is the only aspect that disappointed me with Tamayomi.

Plus i'm sure you two are fat fucks who hate sports.

I think one reason I didn't enjoy it was because it felt very samey. Whenever I watched the show I couldn't help but think "I've seen this done before". It felt like a case of "been there done that". Come to think of it, I haven't been enjoying CGDCT shows as much as used to since they all feel the same to me now.

I won't lie, I liked the last two episodes of Koisuru Asteroid, but for me it was too little too late.

I loved Cinderella Nine despite its flaws and bad animation. Tamayomi just doesn't do it for me so far, the characters haven't been engaging and likable just yet.

I can overlook terrible art and animation if there are other things making up for it, but I didn't see any of that in the first episode. I haven't dropped it but I'm not getting my hopes up.

It's not even because of the animation, I can forgive bad animation if the art itself looks good when done right. The problem with Tamayomi is that the artstyle and character design wasn't good to begin with, and this is especially obvious if you see the character profiles on the official website. It's a great shame since the manga art actually looks really nice, which makes you wonder why didn't they just stay faithful to that.

The last big show the director was responsible for was Major season 6, and that aired in 2010. Apparently he hasn't learned anything in 10 years.

You said you can forgive the animation but critique the art style and character design. It's the same thing.

A show can look good but still have bad animation. Good art and bad animation are not mutually exclusive.

I'm going to assume cuts where you have some kind of infographic and a narrator explaining something, instead of focusing on having the characters in context explain and demonstrate something.
