Based on what?

the only people who have an issue with BMI tend to be those the chart calls out for being in an unhealthy range. for 99% of normal people, it's perfectly accurate, the only people it incorrectly classifies are those that tend to be extreme outliers like olympic atheletes or football players, which doesn't apply to the extreme majority of people.

It's been a few years since I updated this.
Need to fill out this row. Anyone know of more girls to add? I had more ideas, but can't remember them at the moment.

No, not at all. Again, if you think that 70 kg is healthy when you're over 190 cm, you are mistaken. Just like those 70 kg are far too much if you're only 160 cm. If you're between 170 and 175, yes, the weight classes are more or less accurate. If you're taller and male, your "healthy" BMI is biased towards underweight, if you're shorter and female, it will call you healty even if you're clearly overweight. It only works in a very narrow corridor, but the more extreme you get in any way (more or less muscles, shorter or taller), the less accurate this scale is. And that's dangerous, because it will tell small people with low muscle mass to overeat and tall people with high muscle mass to starve themselves.

having that many characters makes it look like you picked random girls you thought were cute and didn't actually put any effort into it

Meh.
It's just a project that has been expanded upon bit by bit over the past decade plus.
This is the oldest version I still have from 2011. The first I made only had 8 spots.

it's a fucking scale. it's not meant to replace medical evaluation, but to be used as a quick tool to determine what your healthy weight should be based on commonly accepted metrics of height, weight and gender.

being at the higher end tends to increase your risk for all kinds of chronic illnesses such as cardiovascular disease and metabolic syndrome. the problem is at the higher end of the scale, where the utter pandemic of obesity, cardiovascular and metabolic illnesses tend to be rampant.
