For a board dedicated to anime and manga discussion, can we have untranslated manga thread (and to an extent, a scanlation thread)?

Sounds like a poorly disguised attempt to beg for someone to translate a series you want.
seems like a good idea for a thread
Not really, I can tl so if there's any interesting title that hasn't been translated/been dropped I could help. This one is easy since it has furigana.
How best to respond to an unfairly moderated comment and remove possible flags from your account on MD? I think someone has a grudge against me.
Are you rapeman?
No, not even close.
Just a lurker.
Completely untranslated or series with dropped translations?
How do I rip manga from MangaOne? There's one upcoming manga that I want to tl but the app sucks, you can only read the chapter once a day, and I can't even screenshot it.
is that a grown up Deku?
Both are fine. I just want to read as much as possible and git gud at TLing. Since JLPT is cancelled this July, I guess I can grind as much as I can and go for N2 later in December.
>Sounds like a poorly disguised attempt to beg for someone to translate a series you want.
mangadex.org
some user said they would translate it last autumn then went awol
>Last translated chapter 2 years ago
>The group is still active 22 days ago
Why did they do this.
>and I can't even screenshot it.
In worst case can't you use something like BlueStacks for that?
IIRC because they would rather translate furryshit
Huh, it never crossed my mind, will try it. Hopefully it works. There's a ripper user who told me how that works, looking at its certificate, using ssl and whatnot, but I couldn't follow his tips at all. Too advanced for someone who can't write a program on his own.
i-is this a legal loli?
Nora to zassou by Keigo Shinzo.

It's absurd that only one of his work is completely scanlated with no English license. It's absurd cuz the mangaka is really popular in France.
It's not really dropped since the latest group mentioned that the initial guy will keep Tling it but it's already been 3 months since the last chapter.
Honestly I'm trying to learn Japanese myself so i don't have to rely on anyone but i haven't even started with Kanji so I'd atleast want more people to read his works.
>Last translated chapter 2 years ago
It's way longer than that, 2 years was just when it was added to dex.
>It's absurd that only one of his work is completely scanlated with no English license
english people dont buy non MHA manga thats why
>Black Cat Scanlation

>Once a month update for a manga that even N4-kun can read it.
They have too many projects and too much pride to let drop their stalled projects. I want to cuck them by stealing Sakurai-san desu (it's relatively easy, even a SEA group has already caught up with the raw). Fuck groups like this.
Also, good for you user. Learning Japanese is better because you wouldn't know when scanlation groups like this drop their series for other shitty manga just for views.
That and the fact that 80% English people don't even buy manga.
I'm grateful for everyone who scanlates manga but with downfall of companies like Tokyopop and Delray and since licensing and publishing in America is a pain in the ass followed by depletion of people who actually fuckin reads has totally ruined the industry. Also the individuals who considers everything for granted.
*to drop their stalled projects.
Also I bet they're just hungry for views that's why the manga you mentioned dropped.
Yeah they have even opened a patreon (?) cuz they want to build their own site bUt ThEy aRe HiGhsCooLeRs so they don't have the bucks for it.
Is anyone ever picking this up again?
MPD psycho.
Even Dark Horse dropped it lol.
maybe if it gets an anime someone else will pick it up
mpd psycho was boring after the serial killer who turned women into flower pots
prove me wrong
Seems like the group is disbanded or inactive? When a dedicated group like this disappear, it must be something like the TL got too busy with RL or might be even sick so the rest of the team can't do anything.
New series. Guy's classmate is haunted by a troll ghost only he can see
Although it hasn't yet been used as a scanlation thread but is there anyone else who thinks mangadex should ban the uploads of manga that are licensed and complete/gets simulpubed/released till a certain volume?
It feels really annoying when there's like 3 groups doing One piece. Tokyo Revengers is also getting uploaded again by Twisted Hel group. After the rain getting updates even when the manga is completely licensed.
Nothing I like gets actively scanlated (and the few things that do, get scanlated so slowly it's almost criminal) so I gave up. I've already started buying raws for old manga that weren't on any of the blogs/torrents. The thing that most frustrates me about the translation nonsense is knowing many manga I love are already translated, they just haven't been released to either milk more money or because they get too hung up on the "editing words onto the page" stage. I think it would be better if more people translated Yas Forums style where it's just done in a thread and if people are interested, they will edit the words onto the page and upload it to mangadex. Also there's a decent amount of manga that have been officially translated but no one rips them so it's hard to keep track of both sides of the translating community.
Fuck you. The official One Piece translation is garbage, it is one of the only examples of a manga where it proves getting licensed isn't enough to qualify as "good". Kimetsu is the same. Also, mangadex already bends over backwards to accommodate the official version which is why you see those One Piece chapters uploaded after the official is out even though they were probably available on the Internet days earlier.
i wish it was me
Do you know where to get the raw? I don't know if EBJ ripper from that user still works, but if there's no raw available maybe buying it from EBJ is my last option.
Sounds like you choke on fat cocks on a daily basis.
Nah, it's literally nowhere. I searched for them. You could try Booklive!(if you can rip from them?) You get 10-15% off regularly as they have a gachapon system. First purchase 50% off.
Stephen paul is literally the best Translator we have ever got for One piece. He has to follow rules set up by Viz and Oda's editors advice them from time to time like changing nekomamushi to CatViper. Not his fault. Also yeah kimetsu...i can agree...guess there are some exceptions.
I can't accept garbage like all the stupid names, it makes it look like corporate trash hoping to appeal to drooling retards.
It's hilarious that CSM speedscan is better than the official translation. Like why Viz decided to let the foreign language part (Chinese and German) untranslated? I can read them for fuck sake.
Sorry, but the Viz translator is 100% right on that one. As he said, the Japanese version doesn't translate that stuff so he doesn't either. It's like you've never read pretentious comics before, American comics do the same thing. Pretty sure there were full pages of conversation in 100 Bullets that weren't translated from French despite being an American comic. It's the same as movies where a character says something foreign with no subtitles, it's an intentional effect.
It's left untranslated in the original source.
>nekomamushi to CatViper
its the same with all published languages i think
and thats a good thing because...?
>tfw nobody will resume translating this
fuck. i even bought and dumped the 2nd volume a while back
because the author decided that his fellow countrymen shouldn't understand that part
Sorry, but you have to blame the author you love so much. It's his choice to do it that way, it's you who is the moron here.
It's authenticity you cuck. I can already tell that you have never consumed any other medium apart from chinese catoons and taiwanese manuscripts.
I wanna read this so bad
mangadex.org
What's the plot? The cover is pretty cool.
I wish ripper user were here...
I checked archive and there's discussion about it but like always, it sounds too alien for someone with zero computer science knowledge.
Jesus, Bruce Lee and Musashi?
Just a piece of advice for the Yas Forumsnons who wants something to be translated but probably never will. If you want to live the life with the least regrets...learn Japanese. No I'm serious...it would probably take you a few years to learn but imho it's worth it. Reading and rereading the pieces of the medium in their original language gives you a way superior experience...and if you wanna know what else you could do by learning a foreign language that'll probably never come useful in your life...CALL SOMEONE OUT A FUCKIN EOP!!!
very illegal
it might just be your birthday next week...
>Started learning Japanese
>Cant' rip untranslated mango I like
>Need to learn Python, JS, etc if you want to make your own ripper instead of depending on ripper user
Fuck...
>What's the plot?
what if a Yas Forumstard became a mangaka. very entertaining stuff.
>A right-wing nationalist series. Follows the main character, a middle school girl, who encounters an anti-Korean demonstration and “discovers” the “truth” that the mainstream media hide about the oppression of Japanese people by the Korean minority.
Here's volume 2:
Some manga have a serious lack of decent quality raws on the internet. The world would be a better place if only scanlators shared their raws.
Are you learning to scanlate yourself?
If not check out if your country has kinokuniya. Ik physicals aren't everyone's thing but buying and supporting the artist while also being able to have a tangible copy with a resell value is something i prefer. I only buy digital if it's on sale.
>tfw none of my ancestors spoke English as the first language and all my cousins and even some of my siblings were taught the ancestral language first but my parents refused to teach me growing up because they wanted me to be "assimilated" so I've only been able to speak English my whole life
Fuck globalism.
I have been working on Japanese for a while, the problem is they make it hard to move there and there's no Japanese-speaking people over here. I would much prefer to be immersed in the language, based on my time over there you realize the things you need to learn are not all going to be in a manga. In fact, manga use too many foreign words for my tastes.
Well, sounds really interesting. But I'm afraid it will turn into "hrrrr nationalism is bad u focking nazi" at some point.
>Checked old archive
>Back then Yas Forums had good and frequent discussion about manga translation, how to rip from BookWalker etc
Fuck.. if only I lurked Yas Forums's DJT back before the new shitty m*d deleting the threads... I wonder if those people are still posting on /jp/.
Yes, but I doubt there's any obscure manga that I'm looking for. Also I have never done something like debinding and I don't have a good scanner either.
I assume he wants to rip them without buying them like the rippers do.
