Did this prick ever do something relevant for the plot? You could literally write him out and you would have the exact same manga.
Don't get me wrong I hate bakugo as much as Deku, but at least deku is the MC. Bakugo is totally useless
My hero academia
Yes, he became Ochaco's love interest.
He got kidnapped once... and that's pretty much it. He's basically irrelevant past that point just like every other student in UA except Shoto.
he's pretty useless plotwise
the first chapter where his foolishness showed allmight chose deku or the second one where all might lost his powers afte fighting AfO
That could have worked with any of the students (or even with a random person). All might would have saved anyone
As i said, he's irrelevant to the plot after that.
Just goes to show how useless he is.
*Autistic explosions*
He's pretty useless as a character. His rivalry with deku doesn't have sense since neither him nor deku learn something form it. Deku ideal for being a hero is already good, bakugo doesn't affect it in any way. Also bakugo learned nothing about heroes
Why does he keep making these threads?
I'm the op. This is my first thread in a while. Also I have a genuine interest in hearing what other people thinks about bakugo and his relevancy in the manga.
Please answer my question about bakugo or go away, this isn't a thread to bait people because as you can see I didn't insult MHA, I only asked a question.
yes I know, and it can easily be replaced by someone else
I didn't ask you to try to set a world record for least believable lie.
Mha has a plot?
No. Everything about this shitshow is an uninspired disaster. Even the characters are just bootleg clones from Trails of Cold Steel 3 but with the autism turned up to 1000.
He's there to fill the rival role so it's feels like there's things happening when there really isn't
Bakugo is the Sasuke to Deku's Naruto. The rival, the one to be overcome, the one to challenge and question the protagonist's motives and abilities. While he may not be as important to the plot, he is important to the themes and story. His character development rivals that of Deku and shows an someone who thinks they're hot shit having to deal with the real world while discovering they might not be so hot after all. Additionally, he thinks being a hero is all about winning and nothing else. How Bakugo copes with all this and learns what it really means to be a hero is important to the themes heroism and fulfilling one's potential. It really wouldn't be my hero academia without someone like Bakugo.
Oh user, I...
>the one to challenge and question the protagonist's motives
This never happened. Deku is already a complete hero ideal wise. It's bakugo the one who should learn (but he never does)
>His character development rivals that of Deku
True, neither of them develops
>shows an someone who thinks they're hot shit having to deal with the real world while discovering they might not be so hot after all
Bakugo? The one who never lost a fight? Are you ok user?
>Additionally, he thinks being a hero is all about winning and nothing else. How Bakugo copes with all this and learns what it really means to be a hero is important to the themes heroism and fulfilling one's potential
He still thinks only about winning and being the strongest. It's clear, in "endavor agency arc" bakugo came to this conclusion in regard of all might speech: "winning" + "saving people" = "bigger victory". He only cares about winning and never changed about this idea
>It really wouldn't be my hero academia without someone like Bakugo
It would be the exact same serie
He is like naruto's Sasuke or black clover's Yuno. Someone who was born "gifted" and didn't have to earn his capabilities through hard work and dedication. He's only there to eventually job to our plucky "ordinary" MC in the end. Just to prove the message that even ordinary plebs like Deku can win against gifted ubermensch if they 'Try' hard enough.
>Bakugo? The one who never lost a fight?
you didn't watch the show or you are trolling. i'm not wasting my time with you.
Show me bakugo losing then
This is impossible. Bakugo and Deku are basically the same since they are both lucky bastard that didn't earn anything. They aren't even talented. The only difference is that deku cry as much as bakugo yells
retard
Yeah true, early manga and not even a proper fight. And anyway bakugo won everything after that, everything literally. On top of this that """fight""" didn't teach him anything.
Try again please or reply with the classic "he thinks he doesn't count" and go away
You're being dishonest. You are unworthy of an earnest response
>didn't really feel like he won against Shoto
>loses to villains
>fails his exam
He's a bigger loser than Mineta
Perfect, as predicted you replied with a variant of "he thinks it doesn't count" without providing an argument. You didn't even try to answer all my points in this .
Please go away an let us have a proper and sensible discussion.
>"Show me bakugo losing then"
>"T-That doesn't count!"
>loses to villains
What?!
>fails his exam
I would consider this a loss if it had any meaning for the character/plot/relationship but it didn't. He just got his license right after failing for his incompetence. At the end it was meaningless
Hori just keeps him around because he's popular and he's a sellout.
>What?!
he got rekt and kidnapped. Compared to Deku, who were able to put up a fight and win against someone who was intending to kill him, I'd say he's a loser
>At the end it was meaningless
Yeah, I do agree with that. Honestly, I'm with you in hoping to see him lose for real soon, but it seems like Hori just wanna make him comic relief now
For you, good sir.
>he got rekt and kidnapped
Yes but this was done by multiple villains, so to me it's not a proper fight imo, but just someone who couldn't react properly due to being surprised by the situation.
You just want to be spoonfed everything. putting the burden of proof on everyone else. Do everyone a favor and think for yourself.
>so to me it's not a proper fight imo
They're fucking villains, you moron. They're not going to "fight properly" and honorably. They'll use any dirty and unfair tactics to win against their enemies. Like having multiple villains ganging up on a single hero. What the fuck makes you think a lawbreaking villain is ever inclined to fight fairly?
That's exactly why I don't think that is a proper fight hence bakugo "losing" in that "fight" isn't a loss, but just someone getting kidnapped
He never did anything but bakufag will tell otherwise
I said he basically never even had a fight with a villain other than some robber
Bakufujo told me i was speedreading
Since he fought
>>the robber i explictly mentioned
>>he punched shiggy
>>he knocked out kurogiri
>>oh that one who kidnapped shoto brother, even if he didnt even punched him
Wich apparently are on the same lvl of lida & shoto vs stain or kirishima vs rappa
But he fought
>>Deku x2 times
>>todoroki
>>ochaku
>>tokoyami
1b kids
He basically spent more time fighting his classmate than the villains
>he knocked out kurogiri
That was bakugo being lucky and basically using the surprise factor, he didn't fight kurogiri
>Punched shiggy
I don't remember this. When did that happen?
>but just someone getting kidnapped
Let me guess. You're going to spin that becoming a kidnapped hostage is not losing, but in fact, somehow winning a fight.
"getting kidnapped" = "getting kidnapped"
"getting kidnapped" =/= "losing a fight"
I dont Remember if that also happened in manga (but probably it did) but was in the bar with the lov he freed himself amd punched shiggy in front of the other member
Holy shit, this is embarrassing.
>Bakugo? The one who never lost a fight? Are you ok user?
Bakugo lost a fight in the first 10 chapters of the series, he even cried afterwards, he later also cried over being so weak AM lost his powers saving him, there hasn't been a straightforward "you're not as special as you think are" moment and I don't think there will be anymore (Inasa was the last opportunity) but Bakugo's character hasn't just been a 24/7 jerkoff session
>Bakugo lost a fight in the first 10 chapters of the series
He didn't lost a fight, he lost a challenge. He never lost fighting someone in a quirk fight. On top of this that fight didn't have an impact on the character whatsoever
>he later also cried over being so weak AM lost his powers saving him
Because bakugo can't understand that all might would have done that for anyone. And in the end all might was going to lose the powers anyway so that meant nothing. In the end all might said something like "don't worry you (deku and bakugo) did good, now chill. 0 character development and consequences.
>you're not as special as you think are
As you said this won't happen ("probably"), so I agree
the more I think on it, the more this series really doesn't have any stakes. Huh.
So, is there someone who can prove bakugo is relevant?
To be fair like 90% of the class is also completely plot irrelevant.
Only the school centered arcs don't have them, the rest is fine. So i would say 50% of the series is stakeful
Pretty much. It's Naruto with capes and much much gayer. Perfect for the modern zoomer audience that Hori is writing for.
>Perfect for the modern zoomer audience that Hori is writing for
Even the ones reading it are starting to get tired of it
You can't say this when the current arc is top tier
>he even cried afterwards, he later also cried over being so weak AM lost his powers saving him
But does it also counts? Bakugo briefly cried because he forced himself to cooperate with Midoriya during the Final Exam Arc against All Might.
I won't post the chart and last week oricon sales since I don't want to be mean
>reddit spacing
Opinion ignored. Back to /r/bokunoheroacademia niggerkike
That's shows how retarded he is. He even thought for a moment he could beat all might in a fight.
Still everything bakugo does is irrelevant, totally
What has that to do with anything?
>Even the ones reading it are starting to get tired of it
You could say that with most series
>the rest is fine
No one dies aside from melodramatic reasons.
No need to worry about the characters you care about because it's been shown they can asspull Quirk evolutions.
Any and all fights with Deku have 0 stakes by default because of the 7 quirks bullshit
Yeah, no stakes.
It really isn't.
Opinion discarded
Not for all series. Also MHA is losing buyers quicker than other series
>tokoyami right before he saved hawks
Not really.
>Yet another low-stakes arc that won't have any effect on the world like the Yakuza arc did
>"B-BUT IT HAS MIRUKO THIGHS AND 1 VILLAIN GOT KILLED, SEE HORI STILL GOT IT!!"
please don't reply to me again.
>Not really
Just check the oricon sales than. 4 seasons (the forth still airing when oricon sales came out) and 2 movies and it still managed to sell like that
I just couldn't parse the character. Like, one scene he'll be a asshole and you'll think "no, it's just a swerve, he's actually a asshole with a heart of gold'. But no, he's just a asshole.
Then another scene he'll be a asshole and you'll be, ok, he's just a asshole. Then he's a asshole with a heart of gold.
One week he's a master strategist pretending to be a idiot. Next week he's just a idiot.
I just..don't know what the author is trying to convey to me about this character.
>1 VILLAIN GOT KILLED
Not confirmed on top of everything
Hori has no idea how to develop someone so he made bakugo bipolar on top of his already severe retardation
Don't you niggers ever get tired of this same fucking discussion. Go read a real fucking series and stop crying over Gen Z's first manga
It's not the same discussion
>People still "read" this garbage manga
Never change, shounenshitters
