The difference between the manga and the anime is the anime contradicts what's written and shown in Akira Toriyama's manga (Dragon Ball) and movies (BoG, RoF, Broly).
There's a reason the anime got cancelled and Goku didn't go SSBKKx20 in DBS Broly.

I would've kept it pretty much the same except keep the anime thing about black and zamasu being gay. Also give black a different name because calling himself goku black is cringey.
I would bump fused zamasu just a little in power because its bullshit that goku alone can overpower him when hes half goku himself. The fusion boost should put him ahead and zamasu better controlling god ki should also boost him a little more.
I think I would change it up so vegeta and goku working together manage to almost beat him but he starts to split up and multiply, at which point they fuse into vegito (with a different outfit because vegeta is wearing armor this time) and do some dumb bullshit to round them up and blast them away completely with a massive final kamehameha.
Then after defusing and trunks being sad about his universe, the button drops out of gokus ripped shirt and summons zeno who obliterates the universe while they make a hasty escape
