It was okay I guess, alot of mixed feelings. If wasn't comparing it to the original constantly I'd probably think it's great. I'll start off by saying the OP and Ed songs are not as good as the original much worse honestly, op feels generic. The great thing about Adventure was the fact that they all get tossed into a new world and they were completely clueless which added a sense of mystery and intrigue, in the new one we don't really get that and taichi and koshiro knows too much and taichi trusts agumon right off the bat, this kinda feels more like savers. Agumon into greymon didn't really have much emotional impact that said the original didn't really have that either. The animation is obviously much better and looks really great. Lastly, anyone else annoyed they seem to be going with the same Evo lines again? The original as a kid for me, it was cool and hype seeing a new evolution and what it can do but this seems to lose if we already know the Evo lines. We don't need wargreymon and metalgarurumon again. Maybe go for blitzgreymon instead or instead of rosemon we get bancholilymon

Pretty good and very well animated which was surprising considering we're dealing with Toei here. I like that the internet/network/whatever is presented like in Our War game and how emotive Aguman without dialogue, this time was. My main issue though lies in Taichi. He has seriously underreacted to what happened to him and I wonder if he's going to be like this all the time. Compare this image with the first time he met Aguman in the digital world in the OG. It's night and day. They also better reuse the soundtrack from the original anime. It just wouldn't be the same without it.

I liked it a lot. And I had low expectations too but it did a lot of cool stuff like Taichi fighting the Algomon, Greymon being cooler than usual, some nice animation aesthetics and some changes to the character dynamics. My only concern though is .

It really wasn't. I don't know why people keep saying this. It's not like Adventure was Frontier. The others couldn't kill Dark Masters but they still were able to help in fights/develop as characters

I hope that the other kids' digimons reach MEGA and have their own fusions. That way, even if Taichi and Yamato get the spotlight most of the times, the other will be relevant all the way to the end.
