En was fucking great. More antagonists should be this well written, shouldn't be too much to ask for

explain why you think he's well written

>En
>antagonist
there’s only one true antagonist in Dorohedoro and it’s not even until later on

Did you not see his movie? He's not an antagonist. He's the hero.

He definitely was the antagonist for the part of the story the anime covered.

Hello. I'm just here to post this Noi.

Need I say more?

Wait he's an antagonist? Felt more like one of the good guys and badly written

I didn't like how he kept pulling mushroom powers out of his ass but he was pretty cool.

>goes to hell and survives
>comes back to abolish slavery
>turns shitty mushroom magic into OP ability
>treats his workers like family and does everything he can to protect them
>works to stop illegal drug trade
>loves cats
Is there anyone more based?

The hell is with hear accessory, that cross is upside down!

>and badly written
How?

>en
>antagonist
normalfag

No he isn't. Please explain how, using anime source material only, he is the antagonist? The closest morally grey thing is forcing a contract, but even then he didn't abuse her. En did not do a single bad thing to the person he forced into a contract. En would be a villain if he had done something wrong to her, but he didn't because he is a neutral, like most characters in the story.

Explain how he's an antagonist, if anything he's the protagonist and the true hero of the story.

>En
>Antagonist
The story focus more on En's familliar than Kaiman

I dont know why the entire manga just beat it over your head until the very end about that damn split personality and Hole's controlling
I Mean we get it, anyone with a brain could figure it out already

The 2 (biggest) main characters are Kaiman and Nikaidou, En is established as their "opponent" in the first episode and stays that for the entire series. Antagonist is mainly a perspective thing, it doesn't have to involve worse morals or evil deeds.

>Retards don't know what an antagonist is
How does this keep happening?

>even then he didn't abuse her
> En did not do a single bad thing to the person he forced into a contract
Yeah, nullifying someone's will and making them a literal tool is so much better than some physical abuse. Who cares if he enslaved her, he's treating her somewhat nicely afterwards!

The fuck are you on.

Not a single picture on the internet can describe how I feel listening to this

Having read the entire thread, MAN the anime has to catch up on a lot of shit, you people better read the manga, you won't regret it

His motifs were clear and well defined as well justified, and whilst clashing with out ''good guys'' were merely a side of his own to take, you could feel both being right. That alone makes him stand out.
It helps half of the show almost focused on his gang.

How does the word antagonist fly over your heads so bad, it doesn't mean he's bad guy per say, go check definitions.

God bless Mappa

He's clearly the focus of the story though, the plot revolves around him delving into the mystery of the lizard head serial killer and his connections to the cross eyes.

I thought this was Hisoka for a moment lmao.

Does anyone have that screenshot of Shin's flashback from his first Blue Night where he sees Noi for the first time? Looked like it was from the anime, but I never saw it and I watched the whole thing. Was it from some upcoming PV?

It's from the OVAs.

Thanks bud. Man this could be so good if it's traditionally animated!

Attached: kpBGz52.jpg (1920x1080, 1.06M)

i mean, i get it, but why the hell more than 30-40 chapter dedicating into
>What is he

>lizard head serial killer
>When sorcerer kill people more than Kaiman hope it could be
>When sorcerer come to Hole just to mass murdering people "for experiment"
lmao no

Honestly was completely fine with the CGI in the show but I hope the series has done well enough for them to go full 2D for future seasons. Would be fine if they didn't if they continued to get better at handling the CG since they were showing a lot of improvement with it as the show went on still

Dude. She was in that contract for what, 10-15 minutes? We don't even see her for most of that, so it doesn't count.

full 2D is never happening due to Kaiman's scales

Being Kaiman is suffering.

This excuse again.
Kaiman wears his mask almost all the time so there goes that reason. If MAPPA were good at their job then that shouldn't have stopped them.

Oddly enough I agree, the CGI isn't clunky and doesn't get in the way of the story telling.

Like something with scales has never been animated before, amirite?

They should call it Diarrhea. This anime is just a liquid shit.

Antagonist is the character who starts the events of the story, it doesn't inherently mean bad guy.

here he comes again. Remember to ignore the shitposter, fags

Kaiman starts the events of the story by murdering random magic users.

Later on it did get better but you'd be lying if you said there were no problems with the CGI. Something that could've been easy to fix is shit like this. The models they use have all this texturing on them in an attempt to imitate Q's style but when you zoom out they start to blend together into an unappealing mess.
There's also the issue with poor rigging and choreography too.

You think this is a sick burn, but the story already calls itself "Mud and Sludge" straight up and prominently features a cesspit.

Just because someone doesn't think the anime is without flaws doesn't make them a shitposter. Try and contribute to the thread yourself.

dumbfuck

Damn, this guy stupid...
Ever heard of consent? Also En is a literal mobster. He kills people if he can gain something out of it. It's just that the author mostly showed him when he's around people he values and is therefore laid back in most scenes.

En is the Gandalf of this story.

time to make this a noi thread

Attached: noicolor.png (481x704, 497.56K)

If having your body opened and a magical contract is inserted that takes away free will isn't abuse then what the fuck is

Attached: feelingreat.jpg (1115x1600, 288.76K)

Yeah, I mean look at this shot. I can't see why anyone would badmouth the anime after seeing it. Oh wait, it's 2D.

Attached: Fucking cute.jpg (1920x1080, 905.67K)

honestly I haven't even watched the anime yet. Just waiting for it to be all dumped on netflix but all the noi screenshots I have seen have me so excited. I hope they animate the whole series.

Attached: Noidance.png (327x626, 317.95K)

In a world(s) where casual murder is normal and accepted by everyone that really isn't so bad in the grand scheme of things. As the other user said, he didn't even treat her poorly throughout the whole thing. That would be a different story though if he were more like the guys after Noi and Shin though.

You'll prolly like it because it's still Dorohedoro but outside the background stills it doesn't really hold a candle to the manga.

Attached: Protecc.png (435x492, 133.51K)

>kills someone immune to magic with mushrooms
>kills an immortal devil god with mushrooms
>spews smoke for 48 hours to save his family
his feats were unfathomably based, but even then he wasn't a gary stu because the series didn't give him many opportunities to flex

He's top dog for a reason. Only devils are above him.

Damn. I kinda figured it would be a tough adaptation. I think Q's style is kind of rough which does a huge amount to add to the tone of the manga that I guess the anime couldn't really capture

Attached: OLDJE1965.jpg (211x376, 53.33K)

dunning kruger autist idiot.
Don’t be so arrogant

If you watch it as supplementary material for the manga and not a standalone show then it's fine. Although if you do that you then run into the problem where you notice the sanic-like pacing of the adaptation.

>stupid fucking shit confuses antagonist and villain again

basado
