Something felt out of touch this season.

Overhaul arc had too much buildup and they ruined the Mirio fight.

The festival arc only reminded me that every interesting villain that this fucking series has is only a weekly enemy to beat and never see them again. Overall boring.

The Endeavor fight was pure kino.

Literally all fucking shit, the last two episodes were what I actually cared about and made me realise just how much I fucking hate the main cast.

Most of class 1-a plays no role in the entire first half of season 4, you only see them 1-2 episodes, but Kirishima and Tamajiki have great episodes.

Overhaul had an amazing VA and the last episode of the season was the best one.

But first half have one of the worst (if not the worst) events and asspulls on the entire series.

The thing I liked about Naruto was that cunts were actually trying to kill each other, Sasuke was willing to fucking murder the shit out of Naruto.

Bakugo versus Deku was shit and didn't fucking matter and nothing was interesting about it.

Nah, Joint training arc will only be a half or a third of the season, that means the other half or two thirds will be absolute kino.

In Naruto they both didn't want to kill each other and in Shippuden only psycho edgelord Sasuke wanted to kill Naruto, but Naruto still won't kill Sasuke.

My problems with the story and characters aside, I feel the same about S4 as I do S1, just a mediocre production from a studio that can deliver much more. Even the last episode was not particularly impressive to me, it felt more like stills with impressive special effects more than actual animation.

Most episodes were pretty 'meh', but there was a definite top 5 in my eyes. I felt like the movie taking budget/animators was very noticeable for the first half of the season

Episode 72, Rappa is based. Some minor quality and the censoring sucked but otherwise the fight was done pretty well. Especially good last 5 minutes

Episode 85, Deku vs Gentle was done justice. Excellent fight that had both emotional weight and good animation

Episode 76, I'm a sucker for BIG FLASHY. Infinite 100% was cool and the music choice was odd but memorable. Finale to the fight was very satisfying to watch

My problem with Naruto is that Naruto sucks Sasuke's dick even harder than Deku sucked Bakugo's dick, which is barely possible. They were barely ever friends, yet Naruto spends every waking hour in Shippuden trying to bring Sasuke home while Sasuke is literally trying to murder him.

Yeah adaption wise it was pretty good. It had good animation and music and stuff, but even that can't save this absolute shit show of a finale. The anime tried it's best to make this fight passable, but Overhaul being able to tank multiple 100% punches and the magic loli backpack will never not be stupid.

Honestly I only had one single issue with the episode and that was how exaggerated some of the action cuts were when compared with the manga. Otherwise I think it was done very well

I'm just confused by how disconnected with the rest of the series this was. It felt like an entire season of filler episodes with filler characters specially made to not impact the main plot, except that Two Heroes with David and Melissa Shield (the actual non canon movie) felt more connected to the plot and characters than all of this. You could remove every episode except for the Endeavor/Hawks arc and nobody would even notice.

From the looks of it, they probably sacrificed a good chunk of this season for last episode only. That 25 minutes had more frames, effort and care in it than all the other 24 episodes put together. Every single flaw of the season (lackluster animation, bad music direction, bad lighting, bad backgrounds, bad storyboarding) was nowhere to be seen there.
