Hey, don't judge sadists who like to see heroines corrupted and abused. But yeah, I know what you mean. It's sad, because Emilia is a good heroine, but her biggest fans, like the editor of the LN, end up making her look worse when they try to make her look better, because all they're doing is adjusting details of individual scenes without thinking about how they affect the plot later. That scene is so out of place it isn't funny. The Subaru who refuses to show his weakness to Emilia, always trying to be strong infront of her, who NEEDS to be strong in front of her to be able to support her in her time of need - cries infront of her. Where explicitly in the WN version of that scene Subaru was scared to face Emilia in that state and wanted to be alone. I can't believe Tappei wrote that.
