>First Shoseki day for our April volumes! Our veterans get their usual start, so we look out for newbies: Undead opens in a high spot, AGRAVITY and Yozakura hold also good positions, and ZIPMAN!! is pretty much what we expected. Now starts the challenge of holding those positions!
>black clover lower than stone Is Stone just doing really well this volume? Or is Black clover declining even more? A combination of both?
Grayson Thompson
A shame to see uu so low, but at least it's better than the rest.
Brandon Kelly
I heard some talk show mentioned it thus the boost but it seems strange
Jaxon Sullivan
That is actually high for a newbie debut.
Nathaniel Mitchell
>Yozakura Family What's the appeal?
James Nguyen
poor man reborn
Gavin Jones
If anyone cares, here are the last time they released a volume. One piece - 1 Dr. Stone - 2 Black clover - 7 Bokuben - 9 Yuuna - 26 Yozakura - 40
Lucas Brown
That's incredibly high for a newbie.
Hudson Reed
poor man Spy Family
Zachary Brooks
Isn't this the highest a WSJ V1 has ranked in a while? Feels like the 2019 newbies were always in the 30's or worse.
Dylan Cook
Quite certain it's better than Act-Age and Chainsaw Man.
Blake Wood
Undead must live so Andy can die
Jacob Sanders
>All the new series flopping hard Holy shit Shueisha must be sweating bullets
Jayden Garcia
>Jump wanted Mashe to survive instead of Agayvity boys >Jump didn't care about Undead and Yokazura >Turns out that they are selling strong They are now fucked because they don't have nothing in the bottom, so they need to put series like Black clover, MHA,act-age or jujutsu there
Ryan Hill
>Jump didn't care about Undead
It literally already has merch. They released the volume early cause they knew it was a megahit.
Cameron Jones
>>Jump didn't care about Undead They released the volume early due to positive reception
Parker Turner
Volume 1, day 1 in Shoseki JJK - 10 AA - 30 CSM - 21
Lucas Evans
Nothing People just love buying and reading whatever Shuesha/Jump shit out, the series itself is pretty much dead in the ToC.
Jaxson Garcia
Stone had some really strong backlog these past few weeks due to mentions on a talk show and the last volume was actually starting to grow quite a bit even before that, so it might just be that stone might actually be growing significantly desu
Brayden Brooks
The other thing to take into account is that the KnY infinite backlog is still included here. If you remove them, you got: 21 - Undead Unluck 34 - Agravity Boys 36 - Yozakura Family
Luke Collins
21 is the exact same position Yozakura was in for volume 1 when it debuted if you take out kimetsu backlog from that as well. This week is significantly busier though, so I'm pretty confident UU is doing good.
Ayden Hernandez
Doesn't that mean that Yozakura 2 is already way behind its first volume?
Lincoln Hernandez
>>Jump wanted Mashe to survive instead of Agayvity boys It will though, for some reason the reception is fairly positive.
Luke Long
Undead did well. What a record for newbie?
Kevin Gray
Who knows, positions are entirely relative. Like I said, this week is busier.
Robert Robinson
Nowadays they'd get worse rankings. Because kimetsu.
Sebastian Ortiz
Which is pretty funny considering kimetsu was ranked 31 on its opening day.
Nathaniel Cruz
I wonder how many copies did the new volumes sell.
Andrew Myers
Wow Undead is doing really well and AB is not bombing. Zipman though...
Wyatt Thomas
so it's doing as good as or slightly better than Chainsaw Man? That's good news
Noah White
>Yozakura will survive >Will get TV anime series >It will still be the only Jump title with no threads on Sundays
B-but is comfy!
Ryder Thomas
First ranking of each currently running series MHA - 4 BC - 11 KnY - 31 Yuuna - 13 TPN - 17 Bokuben - 9 Stone - 25 AA - 30 JJK - 10 CSM - 21 Yozakura - 40 Mitama - 51 Really surprised at Bokuben.
Mitama, sales will probably drop off a cliff and I doubt it even sales 5k.
Anthony Harris
Witch guardian is really confusing in a bad way At first chapter they told us that human need to stay in walled city that protected by witch and guardians, yet last chapter show us a village in the middle of nowhere doing just fine And the power level is all over the place >inb4 dbz powerlevel fag The mc win or loose just because, the manga didn't even bother to show why he win or loose Anyway this manga will definitely got the axe
Alexander James
It could be axed before 1st Vol hit the store. I mean Zipman was axed (editor told him to end it) before vol.1 was even out.
Benjamin Thompson
>UU Kinda expected, but I'm still glad >AB higher than Yozakura LIVE you faggots!
Alexander Rodriguez
Guardian of the Witch, Bone Collection (DOA), and whoever loses the gagbowl between Mitama, Mashle, Agravity, and Mori King. Their survival will mainly depend on how long the four currently ending series in Jump will take to leave a slot.
Brody Carter
>Agravity boys above Yozakura Is Yozakura doing that bad?
Agravity is a complete flop among Jump readers, but has a sizeable twitter fujo audience.
Thomas Cox
>four currently ending series in Jump HQ, Kimetsu, Neverland, what's the 4th? Bokuben is kinda obvious when it'll end (it's like 1 volume for each route, no?)
Christopher Flores
>KnY got extended for another Arc They're fine with the money printer
Andrew Ross
Twitter means shit. Pigeon released the first chapter of Mitama on Twitter, it got like 10k retweets, yet it sold bad (unfortunately)
Brandon Ross
If you include haikyuu you might as well include bokuben and perhaps Yuuna, haikyuu will almost certainly remain longer than bokuben.
If no one bothers voting for it you can rest assured it's almost certain no one's going to bother buying it. Bottom rankers don't just magically sell. GotW is next on the chopping block, but the only series that look realistically safe among the newbies are UU and (for some god forsaken reason) Mashle.
Jaxon Cooper
Japan just likes harry potter and people kind of like mashle for that reason. It's also kinda funny at times and I feel it's improving.
Owen Stewart
It has alright digital sales (allegedly).
Carter Wilson
Nipland loves Harry Potter and you know it's a dumb fun joke that you don't need to use your brain which is something people might want in a time of crisis.
Kayden Sanchez
>Bottom rankers don't just magically sell. Is the To LOVE-Ru effect not true any more? I guess this what you get for not having enough lewd.
Cameron Morales
ecchi has different rules.
Andrew Hernandez
Yuuna has been bottom tier for a long while and look at its sales.
Jackson Cooper
To love ru had some very solid rankings initially.
Jonathan Kelly
>sizeable twitter fujo audience Uhh source? The only people I ever really see mentioning it on twitter are trapfag artists because of Chris, or people reviewing the chapters every week in the nip WSJ tag along with all the other WSJ manga. That or other authors giving it a shoutout. And I've only come across a handful of fanarts
Luke Morgan
>everyone going crazy over Chris the trap >yet Baba is the first one getting a doujin Based Barafags!
Isaac Nelson
CSM 1 debuted at rank 21.
Juan Thompson
Huh, I didn't know Dr. Stone sold more than BC.
Cooper Hernandez
considering that everything beneath number 10 gets pushed down due to the kimetsu wall id say these are solid rankings for UU, AB and Yoza
Camden Cox
seems like a running joke that a new series began with mediocre/decent sales and ends up selling more than black clover I like World trigger and dr stone, so I wont complain
Tyler Rivera
Kimetsu gets all the publicity for obvious reasons, but Dr. Stone is backlogging impressively.
Joseph Ross
On an unrelated note to newbies, CSM 1 is already ranking higher than its latest volume. It should be getting a boost the next day because of reprints.
