Well originally it weakened the people brought back, meaning they couldn’t use their full power. Over time Orochimaru and Kabuto improved it to allow more power, until eventually it was pretty much on the same level as the original. But because reasons, some rinnegan abilities, weren’t possible for Madara before he got his old eyes back and came back to being actually alive instead of undead.
Plus, it requires you to either trust the person bringing you back to not put an obedience seal in you, or for you to have some way of escaping their control like Itachi’s crow or doing whatever Madara did. And even then, it’s possible for somebody to either kill you or otherwise render you a nonissue, like the reaper death seal or those scrolls they used in the war.

Because Madara simply enjoying fighting? He literally intensely sparred constantly with his younger brother, which is how they both became so strong. Not all fights have to be to the death or even associated with it. Even Goku still has a sense of when shit is awful and something needs to be done about, like Frieza or Zamasu or his entire fucking childhood he still played hero in.

Madara's plan was more to spite Hashirama's system of hidden villages, a massive ego-trip to prove that he was the "saviour" and not Hashirama's system (which was pretty shit tbf).
Only he could Infinite Tsukuyomi and only he could be the saviour, not anyone else. The guy saw everyone as extensions of himself and ironically all of these people betrayed him (Obito, Black Zetsu). The goal of achieving peace was just an excuse to him.

Obito thinks that whatever he does (and what he did) in this world will be irrelevant when he replaces reality with the Infinite Tsukuyomi. The dream world was the "real" world for him, so everyone in this world was a "fake" that he didn't have to give two shits about.

It wasn't though he's seen through the errors of a shitty system that was created by Hashirama that's precisely why he decided to abandon it. He wouldn't care if someone else did what he wanted, he just didn't trust others to do so. The fact that he was ressurected by Kabuto and not Obito, made it abanduntely clear that Obito had some sort of change of heart, that's why he didn't trust him. He trusted black zetsu solely because he thought of him as embodiment of his free will for whatever reason, had he not he wouldn't have trusted him either, at least to the same degree.

Neji was a better hypocritical character than Madara which just looked like he wanted peace solely because Kishi became obsessed with villains wanting peace

Naruto is sitting there being a demigod that could '1 vs all the other villages put together' if he had a mind to it, and every single shinobi and village(including Konoha) knows that on a visceral level. And then there's Sasuke and his bullshit that also happens to be super loyal to Naruto and Konoha, and could also take on everyone else and their kages.

Everyone basically has to smile and accept whatever Naruto's plans are, and there's jack shit they can realistically do about any of it. Other villages are probably choosing kages based on who can get along best with Naruto at this point.

Neji is only a hypocrite in the sense that the social system he lives in is broken and he can't do anything about it. In a world that makes sense Neji would be the new head of the Hyuga clan. But that can never happen and now he has to live as basically a slave because of circumstances that were entirely out of his control because destiny says so. He showed loyalty to the Hyuuga clan only because he has to.

It's essentially a real life nuclear detente, so yeah. He even accepted that in the far future someone would nuke someone again just because people would forget how horrible getting nuked is. He was honestly very realistic about the limitations of his plan.

His outlook pre-timeskip was validated in the end. He didn't know about Naruto's pedigree and so misjudged him, but had he known, he'd have told Naruto he was destined for greatness.

He wanted to futility escape his destiny, but in the Naruto world, that shit is real and genes/talent/circumstances/teachers decide much of your future and possible impact. Neji was always doomed to die for the sake of his betters. That he'd learned to accept that fate by the end doesn't change that.

That's exactly how it is. It's just that Naruto was pretending it was, or could be, otherwise. He embodies all of it by the end and proves that Neji was right and, instead of lashing out, simply had to sit down and accept his fate.
