New user (as in I haven’t made a post in this thread yet, so not OP or anybody else)
I haven’t read it either, but I’ve read about it, and I know that in regards to pic related, Ichigo didn’t get a real fight with his full shikai/bankai, because it got broken and reverted to an older form, so we don’t really see what he’s capable with his zanpakuto at its actual full power.
Don’t know if that’s what OP meant specifically, this is just what I know from reading ABOUT the arc.

Well when he comes back after getting his real zanpakuto he gets into a little skirmish with some jobbers then he goes to fight ywach twice and because of ywachs abilities we never really see what ichigo can do

He spends most of the time running around. When the big battle starts, Ichigo is far away training so he has to run to the battle. As soon as he arrives the main villain leaves and Ichigo chases after him. When the two finally do have their battle at the very end of the series, it is very short and unsatisfying.

Maybe I just enjoyed Bleach for different reasons than everyone else, but I don't really think an adaptation that expands on anything is really going to enrich the material. A lot of Bleach's problems aren't from lack of detailing but more fundamental. I wouldn't mind seeing CFYOW, but even then I'd probably rather just have Kubo doing it as a manga than an anime.

Well the rules are that you have to have a bankai to be a captain, and a bankai is usually better than a shikai, so it raises the question of why he never used his bankai if he could.
My headcanon is we’ve seen his bankai but he claimed it was still his shikai for some reason or another, like maybe making his opponents think he’s still holding back to mess with them, or something.
But that’s probably not the actual answer, if there even is one.
I think he was talking about some part during the fight, before he lost. I haven’t actually read the arc, so I don’t know for sure.

The fights in Bleach mostly suck. The overall style and direction of the art are what I came back for every week. That's also why I'm not that interested in the anime to begin with; even its most emphasized key frames probably won't look as solid as Bleach did as a manga.

It exists. It would make sense if it risks his life/kills him so he doesn't use it, or the effect is completely nullified by "The Almighty". I'd just like it explained why he wouldn't use it. It's one of Bleach's weak points that people are getting beat without going all-out in extreme situations that call for it, but aren't being STOPPED from doing so, or have a reasonable cause for not doing it (arrogance, wounded, double-edged sword, etc.)
Simply put, Yama bankai'd. It was amazing. Aizen was tied up with EVERYTHING in soul society and Yama was the only one he wanted no part of before ascending. The most broken Shikai should have either a more broken or very interesting Bankai.
They should have let Aizen free sooner so he could team up with Ichigo sooner so they could get more time in.
Pic Related: Even KUBO knows how much his most famous villain is loved. If Mayuri is Kubo's self-insert as a Good Guy, Aizen is his self-insert/main character as a bad guy.

Bleach fights are usually better from a story perspective rather than the fight itself.
The only great fight from an actual combat standpoint in the anime was shuhei vs that arrancar with the blonde hair and chipping mask.
Other fights had some good aesthetics but thats about it.

That's just how Kubo writes. Much of the plot (what little there was between the endless fights the Gotei 13 had with various manufactured henchmen) worked that way too. Bleach was like a carrot on a stick forever being pulled back with more fruits and vegetables on more sticks being introduced constantly, and by the end of the whole ruse some of it rotted and some of it fell off the stick.

Maybe, but the vast majority of them are superficial. Bleach's characters are largely trope-y, and the interactions between them are too. The fight between Edge-Fire and Hashbrowns is a good example of this: we got backstory between them and the fight itself was a culmination of their personalities more than it was a showcase of action, but the drama was serviceable at best. And plenty of fights in Bleach have even less going for them than that.
