His body is rubber, his durabulity is immense and dying is hard in one piece, even Usopp survived a 4 ton bat to the face and don't even get me started on Zoro.

Well, it's the new world, only the exeptionals get to be there and do as they please, same goes to devil fruit users distribution in the op world, most of the dudes who get powers think they can rule the world because they are hot shit in their tiny island, so they go to the grand line to try their luck with the one piece only to die like scrubs, then their fruit probably respawns in the grand line, repeat the cycle tons of times and you have most of the rare fruits in only one place.
Saying that CoC isn't rare because there are a lot in the new world is like saying a high iq isn't rare because there are a lot of them in mensa.

Well, I can agree that the story gets better the less focus we have on fights, but I'd say that it's tipping too much towards battle centered lately.

You need to have strong ambition and willpower - have the mindset of a conqueror in other words - to develop Conqueror's Haki. This means basically every leader figure in the New World is likely to have it, because anyone without those qualities has no business being there unless they're a follower or were born there. It's about being a certain kind of person rather than being special.

Luffy never says that he is underdog. He is literally who, but we know of his strength that is quite alright for OP world (later gets better as he masters it). He also was much more mature character than Deku at any given point of time, even though he acts quite childish.

Luffy in base form is about stretching his body in various ways while maintaining speed and strength. G2 is a power boost only made possible because Luffy can contract expand his blood vessels and organs without them rupturing, allowing a faster and more readily available blood supply throughout his body and increasing his metabolism. So Luffy getting into the groove of predicting and seeing the future is a byproduct of his talent, his two years of experience, and being taught by a top-class user.
