Pouf admitted that Morel could've killed him if he found out what he was doing when he escaped the smoke cage. Also Morel was exhausted because he was taking on all of Pitou's puppets before the raid and didn't get any rest. If he was at 100% he would've most likely killed Pouf and last longer against Youpi.

Would mostly depend on his remaining abilities. IE if he has significant ranged ninja abilities, which he should, then he could kite and deal with them pretty well, Youpi especially. He has a bare minimum of three more powers, which could all vary among other common ninja tricks like transformations, stealth, hallucinations, etc. Going off of everything revealed he doesn't have the tools or the raw power to confidently dispatch of one, but logic dictates that he'd be at the very least a threat.

Even as a royal guard chimera ant Pouf is still a bitch ass manipulator who has to fight in more indirect ways or using others, Morel is the only exception otherwise all manipulators are physically weak and could only take on a non nen user in a physical fight.

Morel is strong but he can’t take on Pitou, Pouf, and Youpi in a straight fight. It was said in episode 127 that Gon, Killua, Chimera Ant Palm, and iklago have no chance against Pitou. Netero, Morel, Knov despite being extremely confident and wanting to kill the queen didn’t even dare to take on Pitou once they saw her En. Pitou managed to kill Kite a nen master without even developing her combat hatsu Terpsichora. Knov himself knew that the plan was a suicide mission but even then when he saw Pouf’s aura he still couldn’t take it. Morel even knew he was going to die in the mission and prioritized keeping his target away as a decoy. Netero didn’t even have faith in his subordinates by saying to Meruem that “they were probably already killed by his royal guard by now.” Youpi saw Knuckle, Shoot, and Morel as no more than flies to him. The extermination team got extremely lucky that Meleoron joined their side and that Komugi was there in the first place otherwise the invasion would have been a disaster. Hell Knov only managed to put a portal in the palace because Pitou had to heal Meruem’s arm which meant she couldn’t use en.

1999 goes from late-era basically perfected cel animation to that pre-alpha shitty early digital quality (pic related).
Switching between the 2 versions can be a bit jarring so I recommend going w/ 2011. But you can always watch 1999 as a supplement if you have time.

That's a bit troublesome. I'm a huge sucker for 90's aesthetics in general, but admittedly this sales speech doesn't sound that good. Based on the recommendations I was planning on going with 2011 even on the basis that it apparently adapts more material, but was debating if 90's was worth it for the cel-animation alone.

The 1999 anime is far superior in every respect, storyboarding, color design, background art. Watch it and then watch the first OVA to finish off the story arc. After that don't watch of the further OVAs or the 2011 anime, read the manga.

As I said you can always watch the 1999 after you're' done with the 2011 to get a different take. I'm an old fan so I saw the 1999 back in 2006 but recommend 2011 because there's more pros than cons and not everyone has the time to watch both versions. But you could if you want.
