IMO it'll be really hard for a remake to beat the origional anime. Sure there wont be dumb bridge scenes, but deen had to handle a lot of insanity and did it very well.

Just a year ago, ya'll loved the old anime. I like it how when remakes get announced, people instantly start pretending that they hated the original all along. I for one liked the original, and will keep an open mind for the new one.

The animation quality was pretty bad up until the final arc. They did do a good job with the atmosphere and the contorted crazy faces. Say what you will about the Quality of the adaptation itself. Personally I think they did fine considering they likely had to cut a lot out due to time/budget/ep constraints. Though there are definitely areas that could have been given more emphasis.
For anime only, it's a good B
Adaptation wise C+ to B depending on the arc
