My name...is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things and I don't particularly like anything. What I have is not a dream because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan and destroy a certain someone.

Not going to lie but I thought he was cool when I was a kid
But I still think he's cool
I can't not see it as the gendo pose now.
Now I know that sharingan is all about copying shit but this is just silly.
Sasuke was absolutely right about eve
This is ok.
this line isn't
kishi's style was so much better back then, holy shit.
I thought he was an edgy faggot even as a child
This is unironically a great line and introduction for the character
No it's godawful. Someone with that mindset would never actually say all of that to strangers.
So Sasuke is a metaphor for the #metoo movement?
>dies of sharing aids
Stilted as it was Sasuke does have a clear motivation and character arc. He's an edgelord and after Itachi's death he gets really fucking stupid. Like holy shit levels of stupid. But towards the end he gets back on track which is pretty good for a character in a decade long series.
How is he a metaphor?
Did they ever explain what exactly it was Itachi was sick with?
I don't hate Sauce's character motivation, but delivering it this way was dumb. His character was a bit all around the place, sometimes good, sometimes bad, sometimes hilarious. I like end of series Sauce.
Coronavirus
Fair enough. His dialogue ranges from pretty sensible to DeviantArt and it can happen without warning. Which is probably why he can be so frustrating to watch.
Well he failed in restoring his clan
My name... is Giorno Giovanna and I have a dream
Sasuke's mission statement: I hate a lot of things and I don't particularly like anything. What I have is not a dream because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan and destroy a certain someone.
#metoo's mission statement: I hate a lot of things and I don't particularly like anything. What I have is not a dream because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan and destroy a certain someone. men.
>also i'm like 8 years old
Plot devirus
Well it's still a shonen, and it's endearing enough for one to not get stuck at weird decisions or dialogues. Fun things are fun.
Still wish Kishi didn't went on for so long with the gay stuff. Early part 1 Sauce was great, late part 1 Sauce not so much.
I mean he did sire Sarada. And there's a bunch of Shins running around too. So I guess that's just what the Uchiha are now, a bunch of albinos with Salad as their lord and master.
Are you a son of the vampire guy? Who is the mother?
Cringe.
>wanted to restore his clan
>ended up having one daughter
>who needs glasses
Damn, Naruto is better at restoring Uzumaki clan, and he didn't even intend to do it
He was absolutely right
Ah, yes, the famous Atashimo clan
For me it's
Early part 1: cringe lord. But I feel like it's on purpose since Kakashi called him out on it
Mid part 1: pretty cool character even if still edgy
Late part 1: a shithead but I understand why he's a shithead and how a character like him might come to the conclusion he did
Early part 2: cringe lord
Mid part 2: master cringe lord except unironically this time
Late part 2: edgy but a pretty cool character
>this is your brain on Yas Forums
cringe
He was absolutely right. About everything
I never watched Naruto and I genuinely though OP's line was just a joke.
it's paraphrased
Gendo isn't the first man in history to interlock his fingers. besides it's the shining glasses that make the Gendo look
>Early part 1: cringe lord. But I feel like it's on purpose since Kakashi called him out on it
Except for this stupid line he wasn't really a cringelord. Actually he was kinda cool sometimes, a balanced mix between shithead rival and nice comrade. I like him there.
>Mid part 1: pretty cool character even if still edgy
Kind of the same as early part 1, maybe slightly less likeable because the series felt a bit less personal than the land of the waves arc then.
>Late part 1: a shithead but I understand why he's a shithead and how a character like him might come to the conclusion he did
Unsufferable shithead for me, either kept sulking or being super smug for no reason.
>Early part 2: cringe lord
For me it's more the general writing at this time that made him bad, with everyone sucking his dick and Naruto having made no progress in 3 years. The character itself didn't do much except fight a few guys.
>Mid part 2: master cringe lord except unironically this time
He was so edgy it was kinda funny seeing him wreck shit and get wrecked at the Kage council I guess.
>Late part 2: edgy but a pretty cool character
I like him finally being nice to Naruto and admitting his wrongs. Kishi wanted to show him with a child-like innocence but that's the only moment he really succeeded at that
why did he let his art go to shit
Is it really? I googled around and it seems to be the full quote.
Early part 1: a cute as fuck child. Has some unexplained backstory
Mid part 1: non-existent nearly all the time/woah his brother is a dick, I feel bad for him
Late part 1:shithead but understandably
Early part 2: just leave him fucking alone and let him do his thing, Naruto. He's kinda based a bit, though lacks any emotions and thus boring
Mid part 2: holy fuck what is this edgy cringe is Kishimoto high or something, stop this shit already
Late part 2: HOLY BASED
Are you insane or something
TB
It's played straight but Kakashi rips into his ass for his shitty attitude. Well along with everyone else but still.
>A Genin should have a natural feel for teamwork. But you? It never even crossed your mind.... and you Sasuke thought the others were so far beneath you they were worthless. Arrogance! Ninja missions are carried out in squads. Of course you need individual skills but teamwork is the most essential element.
Reminder that the eng dub had Sakura right after that say "He's SO HOT!"
God I hate Sakura's character in this series. Yes I know it's supposed to be unconditional love but it comes off as her being the most tone deaf organism on the planet
One of the fucking funniest jokes I've ever read in a manga
>and you Sasuke thought the others were so far beneath you they were worthless
And he was absolutely right in thinking that. Have you even seen the way Sakura and Naruto acted there? What is the point in teamwork to get limited bells where the other two actively drag you down?
How come they make excellent opening and eds constantly ?
openings are 17/20
ending 35/40
Well it describes the character well and sets the tone for him for quite a while.
>I hate a lot of things and don't particularly like anything
This is a mistake right out the fucking gate for his likability and it also makes no sense for any person. Even autistic shut-ins have all kinds of interests, especially to distract themselves from hating life or any bad memories.
Gutterball, Kishimoto.
Long series usually have an artstyle change, and when they're really long this change can be really bad because the author gets lazy and focuses on generic main features of his character without adding anything new to them like he used to do before.
>I know it's supposed to be unconditional love
I'm not even sure about that. Like Kishimoto knows how pathetic this is
Pierrot is top tier
For the late part 1 I kind of get it. He was pretty based for a little while but coming off the heels of 2 massive losses, one of which was Itachi aka the person he lives for I can see how his faith in the Leaf might've been shaken. And then Kakashi also lost to Itachi. And then a small drip of power made Sasuke explode in strength and all of the bad guys methods seem to be working while the Leaf's methods seem to have him lagging behind. Yes the Leaf offered him love and stability and all that but Sasuke already had that. It was taken away. What Sasuke really needed was power and the rogue ninja seem to have that in spades. So he drank the kool aid, if his life's mission is to kill Itachi then I can see why a character like Sasuke might decide to take the easy way out. And then his world view got validated when he beat Naruto. Naruto became incomprehensibly powerful during their fight and Sasuke still won, I can see why he might honestly believe he was making the right decision for what he wanted.
Especially funny when you know who Sasuke is talking about, in a sort of dark way
>Kishi’s art is bad, guys!
>late part 2: HOLY BASED
My man
Because even if the two of them were stupid ass mooks even stupid ass mooks can serve a purpose. Naruto can make a million billion clones. Even if he's an adhd riddled idiot was there no way at all Sasuke could use that for the mission?
The decision to have Naruto lose this fight is based
He’s still cool.
>What Sasuke really needed was power and the rogue ninja seem to have that in spades
Should've let Jiraiya attack Itachi instead of autistically yelling HE'S MINE
>if his life's mission is to kill Itachi then I can see why a character like Sasuke might decide to take the easy way out
I'm okay with that but the way it was shown was kinda retarded, he started gloating like a Bond villain more than happy to kill his comrade.
Sakura acted reasonably, from what I remember. She offered Sasuke to formulate a strategy and he told her to bugger off.
Seriously, for all his contempt towards Naruto early on, he is not all that different
That's the part where Kishi still had some life in his art. It's also one of his best spreads overall, I love it. On top of that, because Kishimoto is genuinely a great artist (although lacking in some areas sometimes), so even bad Kishi will be somewhat ok.
The bad Kishi art is during the war, especially late war. Things became cluttered and messy.
>Should've let Jiraiya attack Itachi instead of autistically yelling HE'S MINE
speaking of this why the fuck did Jiraya let him get berrated like that ?
The worst part is during his "The World of Masashi Kishimoto" he even talks about how long it took him to nail down his own style and then he ultimately abandons it for something objectively inferior just to make it easier to adapt.
haha yeah, remember when Naruto didn't beat everyone alone because he's the chosen one and Neji wasn't right?
>destroy a certain someone's ass with my dick.
>the Leaf offered him love and stability
That's some ironic shit
>I can see why he might honestly believe he was making the right decision for what he wanted.
He was. Looking at the fights he had with his curse mark, it helped him and saved his life so many times the Leaf would not even hope to teach him. He would be dead as fuck without it
It was predictable, but I swear the powerup he got from sitting in a barrel was really bullshit. Went from equal to base Naruto (would've lost to many clones or a Rasengan) to stomping him with no sharingan on, and then handling 1 tailed Naruto with 3 tomoe sharingan. Should've at least went curse mark for this.
Then you really don't remember it. She saw Sasuke in a trap, screamed like a retard and fainted..
Jiraiya is a descendant of Senju Tobirama
Did not the Sound Four give him a pill to boost his power when he went with them?
I think he just got tired. But his spreads still remained consistently good.
>The World of Masashi Kishimoto
what's that ?
He was about to help him but the dumbass kept yelling I'LL BEAT HIS ASS TRUST ME so he waited until Sasuke got the picture.
>white hair
>strong body/lots of chakra
Makes sense.
>Should've let Jiraiya attack Itachi instead of autistically yelling HE'S MINE
For fuck's sake, he's like 12 and just saw the object that lived in his head rent free 24/7 for like 5 years
But Itachi got strong without getting handed hax by the evil snake guy, so Sasuke should have tried to surpass by training hard.
Cooperate with competent people if you want to succeed
Apparently Itachi killed his best friend to get Mangekyou. Well we know it's false, Shisui killed himself.
The real question is how Shisui was so OP. Way more than Itachi.
To be fair though, was not Sasuke also in the midst of a panic attack when he saw Itachi
Sasuke just needed time. Sasuke's problem was that he was comparing himself to Itachi who was dismantling countries before he knew where babies came from. He was an anomaly even among anomalies. But while the general Leaf ninja is pretty mediocre their upper echelon are some of the most powerful organisms walking the planet. Jiraiya walked into an enemy country with no back up and killed 2 paths of Pain with no prior knowledge of how his powers worked. And he wasn't even a hero of prophecy or some shit. Minato was so ridiculous that the Land of Stone made it federal law to run from that fucker on sight. Tsunade wrote the book every medical ninja follows. The Leaf has some fucking good training in it. Sasuke was only training in earnest as a Genin for what a year? Maybe? But he wanted the quick and easy path.
