I've seen the trailer a few weeks back and i got really mixed feelings about it.
On one hand i loved the novels and i consider them among the best isekai novels.
But on the other hand I'm not sure if they'll properly adapt it.
What do you anons think? will it just be a flop and a disgrace to the original material like arifureta?
Is anyone looking forward to this?

Honestly can't wait. I mean, I'm worried they'll botch it, but I'm also hopeful it'll be great.
I've taken the stance that even if they fuck it up, I can still enjoy the novels. I don't really care if anime-onlies hate the series.
that's fair. I mean i'm still going to love the novels. But i'm worried they're going to rush it or skip certain parts. Like how arifureta skipped the class part. Imagine skipping the part of him being thrown out and all that. that's part of the story that keeps being brought up for a while. IMO depending how far they'll go with the story a normal 12 episode anime would make it botched. 12 episodes would merely cover the first volume i'd say
It's probably going to cover until Eris runaway, so volume 6- Making season 2 starts with school arc.
I'll be honest with you, Mushoku only got interesting way later, so I don't have much hope for it.
I'm just glad it's getting an anime imo regardless of how it turns out. Just by getting an adaption the popularity will skyrocket and interestingly they nailed the timing since the LN is ending in the next volume if I'm not wrong. That is absolutely huge considering there's like what 24 volumes of content they're advertising with an ending?
Many people disliked the second half but I'm with you the second half was much more entertaining especially after the academy arc.
>not linking the PV

It's going to be the next huge thing. The animation looks great and the source material is peak isekaiuntil Eris leaves at least, so I have no doubt it'll be a good adaption.
When they get to the Eris cucking they'll burn the author at the stake.
I can't understand why there are those who like the first half so much. Human God betrayal was the best thing to have ever happen for this series.
At that point, the series stopped meandering and fatso became a mature omegachad.
>mature omegachad
more like an Japanese salaryman
Name me one Japanese Salaryman with 3 wives.
Slyphy was so unbearable that I dropped it way before then.
>interestingly they nailed the timing since the LN is ending in the next volume
Web Novel had 24 volumes, and the Light Novel appears to be on the 22nd, at the moment. Plus there's at least two extra volumes not in the WN, so there should be at least 3 or 4 more volumes left, I think? Unless some web novel volumes have been merged, dunno…
Whatever the case, I can totally see them timing the anime's ending coinciding with the LN's ending, so they can jump off and unveil the new series, or something.
Lots of people liked the pre-Academy arcs, with Rudy, Eris and Ruijerd adventuring through various lands.
And of course, the Academy arc is a huge lul in quality that many just hate it, and things only really spike during the labyrinth arc, and truly pick up after Oldeus's appearance.
I like the later arcs, but I also really liked the earlier childhood arcs.
yeah she really made the academy arc painful with her baggage
I only got through because the plot with Nanahoshi and the kemonomimi girls
Unlike shield hero mushoku tense isn't action heavy. Wonder how they could work with that factor.
I felt the same way it gave the series a direction which it needed so desperately.
But to answer the question I think it's because people liked different aspects of MT like the series has most of the stuff which a lot of todays isekai sort of branched out and singled out like:
"slow-life" segments , adventures, good fights , drama, some edge here and there and so on all in one package so there's bound to be people who only dig one or two of those if that makes sense.
Ah I see now, wonder if he'll somehow incorporate the redundancy chapters in the main story.
>Whatever the case, I can totally see them timing the anime's ending coinciding with the LN's ending, so they can jump off and unveil the new series, or something.
Makes the most sense imo.
I can already see the
>I swear this time it's different from other generic isekai!
>keep watching! It gets good after xx episode I swear!
>the anime is shit! the LN is good guys read that instead!
comments coming from the defense force when it turned out this series is just like the other copy pasted garbage isekai
You're also going to see a lot of people defending it by saying that other isekai were copying it, and that it was actually original.
Yo.
>haremshit
hard pass
Like the manga adaption basically with some original content like that mercenary guy in the beast village just to have more fights.
Academy arc was too stretched out for its own good. If you like Sylphy though it'll probably be one of the best arcs for people especially the newly wed chapters.
go ahead, the material will speak for itself
well... it kinda was one of the first novels to popularize isekai so technically speaking yes, a bunch of isekai's copied it or well, aspects of it. as another user said, other isekais just took bits from it and expanded on them instead of mixing all the elements.
I'll just be sitting back and enjoying one of my favorite series getting an anime. People defending shit and validating their tastes to is the worst thing you can do in these threads honestly kinda like it happened with SAO in the beginning.
what the fuck are you talking about? a ton of people that read the source material were shitting on the other isekai adaptions like arifureta and shield hero
the last isekai to have as positive expectations as Mushoku was Konosuba before it got too popular and devolved into waifu wars and now I can't even go into the threads
>responding seriously to bait.
No seriously, why is that faggot always popping into threads for series about to get an anime adaptation, talking about "lol I bet fans will defend this series I know nothing about"? And why do faggots always take him seriously?
let the "isekai trash" tards be. i have one of those friends too and it's useless to argue with them. As soon as you mention isekai they clog their ears and no matter what you say it won't work.
because people actually think like this
But Rudy is far from op as he gets his ass handed to him and someone bails him out more often then not. Unless they change content if course. Mostly likely the anime could just give him more monsters to grind on as Rudy is more deadly to monsters
shut up faggot, I enjoy telling people they're wrong
If the PV is anything to go by, they might just try to get by on the adventure and sightseeing alone, rather than try to pack every couple episodes with a fight scene or two. The PV showed a lot of pretty visual art, and just a couple fluid fights, and the post-transport incident is pretty much all travel and sightseeing.
He’s pretty strong actually, during childhood he just doesn’t have fighting experience which is why it’s so easy to take him out but other than that his opponents can’t wear touki and as for adulthood he simply meets opponents who are way beyond overpowered AND they can wear touki while he can’t leaving no chance of beating them 1v1
Yeah but fat chance of the anime getting that far. Looks like well at least see Orsted.
So volume 24 dropping same time as anime?
Seems like it might take a few more volumes depending on what the author adds as far as I know the last LN vol is theone where they make Atofe promise not help Laplace in the future and the next Vol or the one after that should be the finale.
Also adding to this anime might get delayed due to corona as there hasn’t been any news for a while now so who knows.
It wasn't even in production like railgun though right?
well technically it's in production however that was the only news
>cucking
eris leaving to train with the sword god to defeat orsted isn't cucking retard.
The PV was made by different team, Shingo Fujii directing and Ryo Imamura and Taiki Konno as animation directors. The tv anime is going to be a bit down, but it'll have a proper sakuga since a certain animator is joining the team.
>The PV was made by different team
What? That's not animation from the upcoming series?
There's 10,000 years of history being referenced about the world so they can use flashback fights.
I hope they don't Meteora'ize the back stories and actually show some stuff. One episode about the worlds and gods at least. I wonder if they can get permission from Ghibli
They could even reference some of the new spinoffs which take place before the main story not that they need to considering how much content they already have to work with.
Yeah anime do this sometimes. Iirc the boogiepop series from 2019 had a pv with great animation and none of that was in the actual anime
Even if the team is the same, TV series can still be different from PV. More time and effort is put into those to get funding.
>a certain animator is joining the team.
How do you know that?
They are talking about Eris getting cucked by Rudeus you fucking braindead idiot.
Know they held back re zero a season which is preferable then airing it to have episode delays.
Well the studio is new so they shouldn't be overbooked like A1, Deen or J.C staff.
Heard it's their first project
The teleportation arc dragged on for a lot longer than I would have liked, but the school-life arc has been quite entertaining.
Except she gets regulated to 3rd wife under Sylphi and Roxy.
No. It hits all the same notes as any other dogshit isekai like smartphone or arifureta, people just keep making excuses for it because it was their first.
>a new studio is seemingly formed specifically for MT
coincidence?
yeah, and because those SAO twats managed to trick me into watching a bit of alicizablabla, let me do you a favor and tell you outright
>it's different from other generic isekai!
it's not
>It gets good after X
it doesn't
>the X is good guys read that instead
it isn't
Did nothing wrong
yeah, he's just born into the vessel of the demon lord, or whatever they call it, has literal God tier mana, and his little rank 1 pebble toss spell is at the top of whatever spell rank system they've got
here's the story, boy goes some place, everyone goes
>oooh
>aaah
>sasuga, nii-san-sama!
rinse and repeat
Manga? They practically skipped Shirone arc so it would've been longer. Which is probably why they had to change it to Rudeus barely knowing Zanoba when they meet at the academy.
oh, right, he can also see the future with his magic eye, forgot about that one lol
Badigadi? More like CHADigadi.
Gisu? More like Basedu.
Hitogami? More like Kinogami.
the best part of mushoku was never the fights, only the adventure and Rudeus's character building
And his other Demon Eye which has clairvoyance
None of the antagonists did anything wrong, literally. Except that Gaius guy.
The fights were fun tho. Like that time he got owned by Orsted and the other time he got owned by Orsted...
Gisu? more like Kisu my Assu
