I'm betting on Buddha deciding that, since existence is suffering and the vast majority of humans are unable to escape the reincarnation cycle like him, they will be suffer forever unless the cycle is broken with humanity's extinction. That would imply that reincarnation coexists with the abrahamic origin of the world that we got, but it's not that much of a stretch.
