The character's design was influenced by Jigen. Another character who looks like Jigen appears in Animaniacs. (animated by the same studio that does Lupin). Lupin homages appear in all sorts of Western cartoons like Batman The Animated Series, Ducktales, and The Simpsons.

There's also a YouTube channel dedicated to Lupin where they post Lupin references in other shit. If it ain't on there, it probably will be eventually. Lupin also influences video games

Even the final act of The Great Mouse Detective (a fucking Disney theatrical film) has it's final battle scene directly draws inspiration from Cagliostro. It was already the best animated Disney movie of the 80's but that just made it even cooler.

I've been a big lupin fan since the 2 Am adult swim broadcast.
I couldn't stand part 4 and I dropped part 5 halfway through.
There were some good episodes in both parts but man shit was just a drag to get through.

They should recreate Monkey Punch's stories but animated.
Nothing. They're okay but take fucking forever to put out shit. Gkids is a prestigious company that focuses on important titles so Lupin is in good hands at least.
The newer shows just aren't as fun or as wacky.

They do give a shit and I've got most of their Lupin releases, but they are seriously slow. Also, their website is completely useless.
