Fo real. I don't really "hate it", but it's so painfully generic. It just doesn't grab me even if I look at it simply as a gag manga. The support is simply weak.

The premise was alright but the writing was bad

Agravity's jokes are weaker, but the premise was still slightly more original than what Mashle's author cooked up. Even if it's basically a Kanata no Astra ripoff of sorts.

I thought it was pretty cool and made me kind of upset the axe meant it would be resolved super quickly, although given the rest of the manga it might have been resolved super quickly anyway, but then it had been long enough he had probably already recived the criticism for the fights being too fast so without the axe maybe he would have fixed his shit with regards to fight pacing
Of course without the axe we would be nowhere near the final boss anyway

It still technically exists, but nowadays newcomers either die too quickly to keep their membership or live long enough to surpass the 30k mark.

Everybody thought that, even the mitamafags themselves. But somehow it keeps getting CP and is almost never in the bottom 3 (although almost always in the second part of the toc). It seems that good reviews, general gag manga lower expectations and potentially good digital sales(?) might save it for now.
Meanwhile AB has been stuck in bottom 3 for a while now with Sam8 and Zipman and both are gone. It didn't receive a CP for their first volume, and even agravityfags are a bit disappointed by how the series turned out, and the next arc could potentially be a rushed ending.

How many chapters did Tokyo Shinobi Shinobi Shinobi ... Shinobi Shinobi Squad have? It amused my how many of my "don't do this" buttons the series managed to push. That heavyhanded globalization boogeyman setting. The constant "Shinobi" namedrops, even though they were supposed to operate in secret. The token reader self insert kid with the 2cool4u big bro super capable mc. When was the last time that one of those worked? Makes me wonder why they even bothered redoing the series with a new artist after the one shot.

The context is that the two brothers are petty rivals who secretly look up to each other, but the author is such a horrible character writer that you get dialogue like pic related.

Dialogue was actually the biggest turnoff for me from the start. Between the stupid nickame the brother gave the MC and that OBNOXIOUS smiling contest that was referenced every two seconds I got sick of the characters immediatly.
It still baffles me, a fucking smiling challenge, just say that you wanna conquer the girl and be done with it.
