The LN for the anime portion (arcs 1-3) and then the WN for (4-6)

If you want to read the parts that the anime covered, then read the LN. It's officially translated, and basically the same as that part of the WN, which is why that portion of the WN was never fan translated.

Once you get to where the anime ended, the only accessible version is the WN. The first 2/3rds or so of arc 4 is on TranslationChicken. The second half of arc 4 is translated on Witch Cult Translations. The first half of arc 4 is also on WCT, but it's a "detailed summary" rather than a direct translation. The second half is a direct translation, however. Arcs 5 and 6 are translated on WCT.

The problem is that it is not mobile friendly with the light text on dark background which mobile google docs does not like

Yeah, all of the active translators are reddit-only these days, that's why I keep tabs over there. From here it wouldn't seem like it, but Re:Zero side stories and such are still being translated all the time. The translation of the final Wilhelm backstory novel just finished the other day, for example.

Rika was a little girl who had no allies in a situation where a very strong enemy rigged it for her do die.

Subaru's best moment in S1 was literally in ep8 when he threw himself off a cliff into spikes. His highlight is an heroing himself.

The same can be said about 'In another world with my smartphone' anime adaption. Animes need to cut down run time to cover a whole season/arc into 12/24 eps etc, and at 20ish minutes per episodes they need to take liberties like cutting out monologue.

I agree it is jarring and makes it difficult to understand and like the MC but that's why I enjoy reading the LNs nearly as much as I enjoy watching the shows.
btw smartphone anime was pretty poor to be fair, but the lns are fairly more interesting reads.
