Astronauts explore the darkness of space
Darkness devil uses their mutilated bodies as a warning
Missing pieces devil removed their pelvis'
But space isn't dark because of the stars
>dark is scary
Swords and chainsaws are scary because they can hurt you, but why fear darkness?
This, I even sleep in the dark
you sleep inside a house
try sleeping in the dark outside, like a forest
>but why fear darkness
fear of the unknown/unexpected but mostly because your senses are hindered
is it worth reading?
yes, it's pretty good, right mix of comedy and horror
is good for a shounen
also by the firepunch creator
There is nothing wrong in the darkness, it never hurt anybody.
Now turn off the lights and invite us in.
An evolutionary thing. If the past when you were alone at night with no shelter, you were absolutely fucked. Also the fact that we sleep at night and thrive during the day.
I believe nocturnal animals who hunted the human ancestors in primordial times were a major source of fear.
A baby is born scared of the dark. A baby isn't scared of a chainsaw. That's why it's a primal fear. The darkness could have swords and chainsaws in it, but swords and chainsaws aren't scary if they're just lying on the ground.

Human evolution made our most valuable survival adaptation "the collection and synthesis" of information.
Darkness is an apparent lack of information - you try to hold an animal that's built for running and stop them from using their legs? They freak the fuck out.
chainsaws create loud sounds, and can contribute to loss of autonomy, which are 2 primal fears
eh?
Are you retard?
This. I never feared the dark or spiders when I was a little kid, they only became vaguely suspicious to me once I realized everybody else was afraid of them but I was always afraid as fuck of things that make a loud noise till I was 6 or so. It felt so overwhelming and threatening even if it was just a group of people talking.
Some user also stated a relation between the number of astronauts in pic and the number of deaths in space but that might be bogus.
Appetantly in Japanese Dark/Darkness and Astronaut use the same character or are spelled the same. It's something only the Japanese would get.
Also there are 11 confirmed deaths in space and 11 astronauts praying. You do the math.

Children fear the dark
Men fear the future
I never associated darkness with anything bad before I watched Sailor Moon when I was 14 that did this. Today if feels natural even though I still don't fear it, but back then the dark/light concept felt new to me. It was probably part of movies I watched before but I never realized it back then. I somehow find dazzling light scarier than darkness, I was scared of anything that makes light at night during childhood, including fireworks and stuff.
>baby isn't scared of a chainsaw
You ever try revving one in a baby's face?
There's alot of chainsaws and swords in the dark. Or even if there aren't, are you willing to take that risk?
No, Future-san, no!
Real men embrace the future
THE FUTURE RULES
Darkness is soothing because you can hide in it. That also makes it perfect to associate with evil.
reminds me of space oddity or black star for some reason
Darkness will have a nice chat with his buddy Pochita, then decide to go hybrid with Kobeni to try out human sensations.
>Appetantly in Japanese Dark/Darkness and Astronaut use the same character or are spelled the same. It's something only the Japanese would get.
>闇
>宇宙飛行士
How? But come to think of it, the character for darkness 闇 looks like a bit his entrance scene. The astronauts form the kanji for gate 門.
Stay alone in a dark room with no light source for one hour. See what happens.
i do this every night for 6-8 hours
Yeah. I think I feel the same way towards it as I feel towards corpses, I cannot fear them because they are the absence of something. You can hide in the darkness but there is still the illusion that there is nothing there and in most cases as long as you don't see anything it's safe, especially because it barely ever gets really dark even at night here. Corpses are the same, people often say they fear them but a dead person is actually the least dangerous "person" in the world unless they are falling onto you or are infested with super corona.
I type like a drooling retard *coff*
Because you don't know what's in the dark. There might even be swords and chainsaws.
Sleeping is cheating, just stare at the drkness.
imagine how strong a chainsaw could be if it was painted with vanta black
Before they were frightened for the Dark because they wandered desperatly in the space.
Then they accept the Dark, and find an eternal Peace.
awawawa
Yeah, I know what you mean. Corpses are an inherent evolutionary fear though. The guy might have died to a disease, so an inherent fear and disgust is protective.
When are we going to find out what devil kobeni is contracted with? it's been an open plot thread for so long
More like they tried to conquer space/the darkness but died and became cucks.
Spoilers better not drop while I sleep
SAUCE !
people arent scared of the dark, no one is, people are scared of the possibility of "something" dangerous being in the dark
Ground control to major Tom, you're fucking dead. There's something wrong.
Astronauts represent the peak of human technology and our escape from the natural boundaries that keep us trapped.
And now they lay broken in half. Posed in religious reverence to a power higher than even the most advanced and rational of us.
heh....watch this
No way, haha.
most interesting things happen when you go to sleep user
I know from experience
Based kid
Simple: don't sleep.
I read ‚then they accept the Dank, and find eternal peace‘ at first and I like it better that way
Knife Devil apparently. It's often what she has as her weapon.
We've seen what Kishibe can do, and Eel revealed his contracts as Nail, Knife and Claw.
