a lot of people argue in these threads about who should end up with touma.

some have pointed out the most diplomatic resolution would be for a harem ending, where touma gets all the girls, be it index, mikoto, othinus, himegami, etc.

personally, i think this belief is mistaken. after weighing all options, the best outcome would be a mikoto-centric harem ending, where all the mikoto ships are validated, be it touma, kuroko, saten, misamisa,etzali, what have you.

that is the true ending we should aspire to seek.

I don't think it's something to be bothered about, if a girl is going to end up with Touma, Kamachi will give them sufficient development. If a girl is being set for getting rejected I'm sure that'll come with sufficient development as well.

This is why I don't mind Mikoto's tsundere antics, and I actually enjoy her and Touma's over the top interactions, if Mikoto is going to end up with him, then she'll show a much more warmer side eventually and if not, she'll become aware of cold shoulder or she'll start to notice Touma likes someone else. I'm quite confident it's subject to development.

Volume 1 was the only good part of the series, plain Touma is better than afro Touma, Index has the best chemistry and is the best suited to be the one to end up with Touma, and dragons were a horrible idea.
The first volume's feel was the series at peak soul and everything after failed to capture that same feel thus becoming more and more soulless over time until NT where the series ran out of soul completely and is just being milked forever more in its undeath.

These threads are never going to be the same after the first episode of Railgun revamped the designs of all the character with subtle but very noticeable and quality of life like changes that make things overall more pretty to look at without being overwhelming like Haruhi S1 and Haruhi S2 changes in character design.
