The final fight showed the problems with super op villains.
The fight was boring as hell and dragged on way too long, since all Muzan ever did was literally standing there for like 10 chapters wailing his tentacles. But why the hell would he do something else? It was the best way to kill everyone around him while being completly safe.
It was the most logical thing to do, but also the most boring one.

It's really not even a god complex, he's just perfectly self-centered. Even his "philosophy" of hating change and imperfection doesn't have any existence outside his own life; it's not like he's opposing political reforms or something.

His backstory is that he's the first and only real demon, made by some kind of chinese medicine 1000 years before the events of the manga. All the other demons are just creations he personally made from his own blood, who he can kill or wound at a distance, at will so they have no means to oppose him in any way.
