First episode was promising and the last episode hits pretty hard. Everything in between was a slog though. They really needed to cut the cast and episodes by half. Most of the minor characters don't even do anything.

Interesting idea with loads of potential, with a shit execution that not only didn't use any of that potential, but also rendered all of it unusable in the future.

Seriously the base concept is absolute kinography:

>Gradually shifts into something strongly resembling Kyubey's original system

Magius is the opposite of Kyubey, yet they operate in the same way

>their morality isn't evil, but isn't good either
>their motivation isn't selfless, but also not entirely selfish
>Their organization is in it's middle stages, not fledgling, but not fully developed

This balance will inevitably fall

>Kyubey is conspiring against them

And in the middle of this we have our protagonists:

>Instead of trying to get revenge, they find replacements in eachother

There's more symbolism and themes all over the place with Iroha and her missing memory, etc... If they had a decent director/writer this could have been as good or better than Madoka.
But it's kinda pointless to think about it all since it was all totally wasted on a shit advertisement anime made by hacks based on a kusoge gacha.

I've still only finished the 4th episode but I just can't gather up the motivation to keep going. It's very a very pretty show, but I don't care about any of the new characters at all, the writing has been really weak (in a series with arbitrary wish magic they couldn't write a story that fits in the existing canon?), and I don't want to see the old characters dragged down to this level.

But I also don't want to drop the only new Madoka anime in years because that feels wrong. I just don't know what to do.

Listen buddy, fucking FGO's anime adaptation manages to be coherent enough to work even for anime-only. Fucking FGO anime which covers the 7th chapter of the game managed to be watchable even to people who don't play the mobage. MagiReco anime is doing a shitty job of trying to get people try the mobage.

I watched the first two episodes as they aired. Then even getting the motivation to watch 3 took a few weeks and 4 was only a two weeks ago. There's no way I'd ever be motivated enough to binge watch this.

Magia Record wasn't as bad as it could have been.
The jew failed because, as always, he overplayed his hand.
Madoka Magica was sent down from heaven to redeem civilization and usher in a golden age.
However, the jew saw what was before him, so he decided to corrupt and undermine this new revelation with Magia record hiding behind cheap consumerism.
But in his blind rage, he overdid his subversion and just made it a cheap cash grab.
Now no true believer is going to fall for it.
The promised day is still to come.

Well, after the fact, I might even come to believe you are right.
I was panicking when they announced Magia Record, as I started suspecting that the jew realized its true value.
I guess these Japanese creators hid the true gospel in such a way that the jew is unable to see it.
It even directly mocks the jew for it: "You could never possibly understand" - to QB, who is basically meant to represent the jew himself.
