>only 6'10
Was it really necessary to make her so short?

Does anyone know how many chapters did the anime cover? I'd like to pick up the manga where the anime left off.

i want to marry noi and for her to raise my children.

Don't be a faggot and start from the beginning.

the sad part of watching animes is that you never know if it will ever get a next season, and most of the time they just leave it or when it comes back it's been such a long time that you don't even remember the past season anymore....

dorohedoro is one of the best animes i've watched

full version of「404」when?

Thank you user.

So what the hell does dorohedoro mean anyway?

Imagine her thighs crushing your head

>more trannies

From mud to sludge or something like that, really fitting if you have read the manga

どろ - 泥 - mud
ヘドロ - sludge.
Holy shit, it makes perfect sense. I thought it's just a made up word.

They can't end the anime like this
What is mappa's attitude towards second seasons?

Probably similar to most studios.
>Did season 1 make money?

Dorohedero is the best selling blu-ray in Japan right now we are getting another season of her at least.

Attached: 1583033855906.jpg (2507x1834, 2.89M)

Depends on how you read it

ドロヘ ドロ - mud to mud

ドロ ヘドロ - mud sludge

There's also probably some word play on "door" even though ドロ wouldn't be the usualy way to transcibe it.

Crazy to think that Shin is like a 6'6" manlet or something like that

I wonder if they'd considering making it full 2D or if they'd opt to keep it the same as before or maybe even make it higher quality 3d.

are these two the main characters? i saw pics of some weird cgi alligator dude. these two seem interesting but I dont want to watch the series if theyre not the focus

All of the characters get a good amount of focus. Do yourself a favor and just read the manga instead.

Can't wait for this absolute chad to show up by 2024 in S3

why? just curious

While the anime is a relatively faithful adaptation, the art doesn't compare to the manga(outside background stills which are great). Also the anime isn't anywhere near the end of the story and assuming there will be a season 2, we have no idea how long that will take and how much it will cover.

The story follows the perspective from 3 different viewpoints, the plot revolves around the lizardman Caiman but many will argue that En and his crew are also main characters. Also Caiman is the "big bad" of the series so enjoy

My problem with all of that is how convoluted Caiman turned out to be

Caiman, you are a amnesiac Aikawa

Me: "Oh cool. That works"

oh by the way, Aikawa is a split personality of The Cross Eyes Leader

Me: "Oooookay, Can still work. Lets see where this is going"

Oh and head regrowth thing? He actually has 9 HEADS!

Me: "I KNOW THAT HAD TO HAVE SOME EXPLAINATION BUT WHERE DID HE GET THAT MANY!?!?"

Oh and Aikawa, Caiman and Cross Eyes Leader are all different personalities of Ai Coleman

Me: "BUT WHY? Can't that be a separate thing!?!?"

Oh and Ai Coleman was possessed by he burning hatred of humanity towards sorcerers

Me: "I REALLY feel like these las two things should have been a separate entity. What exactly was the author smoking he did that!"

It's amazing how much stock Japs still put in BD sales when physical media is dying. JoshiMuda likely won't get another season because of shit BD sales even though it's streaming numbers (which in Current Year are a more important metric) were apparently really good.

(I heard someone say)middle of vol 7. I do reccommend starting over as the tankoubans have a lot of bonus chapters that flesh out the world.

IDK, Fire Force had shit sales on Blu Ray back when it came out (104 sold copies) and it's getting a season 2.

Maybe as long as the merchandise sells well it will get more.

If you see it from the point of view that
Chidaruma was setting everything up in order to bring about the birth of Hole
It will make more sense, at least that's how I interpreted it since from the very beginning it was being alluded that he was looking for his "equal" or partner
It's even more obvious if you see Dai Dark as Dorohedoro's sequel

IDK, I feel like

Ai Colman being possessed by Hole's Hatred should be one thing and Ai Coleman being and artificial sorcerer decides to team up with Cross Eyes Leader due to their common shared hatred for Sorcerers

That way the reason for the 9 heads is because Ai Coleman experimented on Cross eyes Leader to get a powerful ally and later on a powerful body to transfer Hole Hatred into

That would at least make it less convoluted

Its not that convoluted, Hole wants revenge on the magic users so it takes ai Coleman body, the Seven heads thing is because the magic user that kasukabe used to transplant the organs had multipying magic, Kai/Hole and Ai Coleman/Aikawa are basically the same person the only different personality Is kaiman

>Also Caiman is the "big bad" of the series so enjoy
is that a spoiler or is it clear from the start?

So what exactly happened when Nikaido was stabbed this episode? I don't think I even fully understood it in the manga. Did one of the other heads in Kaiman's body grow and then that personality (was it Kai? or Aikawa?) stabbed her? In the anime at least Kaiman said he was starting to get a headache, which was pretty obviously meant to tie in with Aikawa's headaches.

It's kind of amazing watching an anime adaptation of a long manga you finished years ago and not even remembering half of the things that happened early on in the series. It's probably worse if you were following the manga as it came out. I have vague recollections of some sections of the story but outside of that the last arc is all I really have vivid memories of. Same thing happened to me when I finally got around to watching the Jojo part 4 anime. I only really remembered Highway Star and after.

it's a definite spoiler, fuck that user

>MAPPA gives Kai a generic twink voice
>mfw they give Dokuga a super manly one in S2

Attached: doku.jpg (225x350, 34.33K)

I think Nikaido and Caiman are adorable together. Nikaido was hot as fuck in the baseball uniform

Attached: nikaido n Caiman.jpg (1280x720, 113.69K)

well that sucks. but i just started episode 1 of the anime and he def comes off as a brutal guy, so at least it's not too surprising for me.

It's still a lot more complicated and worth reading. One of the best aspects of this series is that there is no clear bad guy, so the only thing that spoiler will hint is Caiman's identity. But even that is also complicated and impossible to fully guess early on.

I am so tempted to read those spoilers. Really need to finish the manga

Yeah, I definitely felt Dorohedoro got too convoluted for its own good. It was at its best when the protagonist was just Kaiman and the antagonist was just En.

also
>What exactly was the author smoking he did that!
>he

oh okay. thank you user. I'll check it out :)

The convolution worked because of how bizarre and complex the setting was to begin with.

I started reading this because of the anime, and I’m not really sure how I feel about it. It’s really interesting sure, but I feel it lost what about the first parts charmed me, you know? It goes full horror manga.

When? I read it and it stayed a black comedy mystery throughout.

It was horror from the beginning. It just had goofy/comedy shit too. And it's not like that goes away even if the horror increases. The manga gives off that vibe more than the anime though just because of how fucking violent and gory it is. The anime was still really violent and gory and I was surprised at how much it got away with but it was still toned down.

The manga always had the horror manga feeling, the anime just toned things down you will probably like it more if it gets a second season

So where do you think a hypothetical season 2 should end? I was looking through the chapters recently and thought it might be cool if they ended on Kai killing Natsuki.

That would be a dick move though if they then aren't able to do a season 3.

I just really liked the mysterious world, and things just kind of fell into a drought once you learned more about the devils and magic users. Still, the mystery of Caiman and Hole were enough to pull through that I enjoyed it.

I definitely will like season two, I’m talking mostly about the part where they’re trapped in the department store with the weird tubes and stuff.

Naw that's too far into the story
The perfect stopping point would be when the crosseyes boss returns
its around the end of volume 14 too

That's not convoluted at all, it's a bit complex but it makes sense. Ai wants to be a sorcerer, Hole takes advantage of him to do that.
From there we get Aikawa and Kai, who both live out what Ai and Hole respectively wanted until they come into conflict over Risu. Kai underestimates Curse, gets fucked up and sheer dumb luck makes Kaiman from it.
It's a layered explanation but one that serves the story well and is introduced in a perfectly understandable flow of information unless you speedread.

I think I was trying to find a good stopping point around the same number of chapters from now but it really depends on how much they're able to cut from the story. I don't know if there's any full chapters they'd be able to cut from this part of the story like they did with the boxing and detective Chota chapters. So they may not be able to cover the same ground like you're saying.

Though I just checked and what I said happens in chapter 79, which is the last chapter of volume 13 so looking back I don't think it's too far into the story.

>Bluray doing great
>Manga tanks getting reprints that are selling out
>Trended on twitter multiple times
>6 OVAs already confirmed
>"Bros are we getting a season 2? Bros I'm scared"

I'm not putting my hopes in anything until there's an official announcement. OVAs mean nothing though. They were announced with the bluray which was after only a couple of episodes and they're not full blown productions, they're a collection of shorts (one full episodes' worth) that look like they'll probably be mostly stills.

Huh you are right. Kinda hard to tell what will be a good stopping point since they either have to condense S2 or the possible S3
I think best case scenario is that they just do a 24 episode S2 and that should cover everything nicely

Season 2 could end at this point, with En dead and the family starting their counter-attack

wait what, season is already over?
