Not only does he learn about that way later, but Asuma is the son of the current Hokage so actually more interesting for naruto. Also it's jsut a question of screentime and development anyway.

Shippuden is unironically better than O.G Naruto

If you like tactics : Sasuke vs Deidara is the most tactical battle of the series.
Or maybe Minato vs Obito , that was just genius !

If you like taijutsu there's plenty of that in Shippuden albeit that part 1 has part 2 beat in this regard.

If you like good animation ,direction , themes and emotional weight, then Pain vs Naruto has everything beat by a large margin ,those two episodes were a work of art !

Anyhow Shippuden is better no matter how you slice it

Imagine the Zabuza arc without Sasuke to prop up Naruto. Sauce played a key role at making naruto man up during that arc, Shikamaru wouldn't have been able to do so considering his nature.
Sasuke also only ever came to consider Naruto as a rival after the time they spent on the wave country mission and on the chuunin exam in the forest. If they aren't on the same team then you can throw that out of the window. Also Lee and neji never were the greatest motivation factors for naruto, getting recongnized by Sasuke was.

No it wasn't, they are pretty much the chillest team and the only one that has that "group of close friends" feel to it. Their fights against asuma in the war was also great.

There's nothing wrong with this arc, and Naruto vs Gaara. They're some of the best. The power scaling and writing got shitty with the Sasuke retrieval.

Tenten doesn't even need gates. Her abilities could have been reasonably enhanced by truely making her a weapons specialist. If trowing shit doesn't work she changes to all kinds of melee weapons. Eventually have her charge her arsenal with an elemental chakra and maybe let her evolve into Jackie Chan. Able to weaponize just about everything at every range.

First of all people don't need to interact in order for autists to ship them. Half the fun is creating the interactions and in character interactions that would result in a relationship.
