Dr. Stone moves fairly fast for a shonen series. In about 3 years, we've gone from "Let's figure out how to recreate the earliest inventions of mankind", to "Let's recreate one of the greatest scientific accomplishments of the past century." And that's including having to deal with actual character arcs during the process.

Have to agree with this. Too many shounens are just a rush to the next boring battle arc where the plot gets sidelined while a character no one cares about has to fight a shitty d list jobber enemy for 3-5 chapters before it jumps to the next character in the group. It can be argued Dr. Stone does the same thing but in a different no fighting format, but down time and more calm sections in between everything else helps with the pacing a lot and helps flesh out characters. Seeing the characters in less serious situations is nice. It's a lot better than shit like black clover or demon slayer going from on big ass action arc and immediately into another one

Possible, but the whole "doctor stone" concept kinda invalidates it, it seems to cure you completely. And since Senku doesn't understand the process by which it works I doubt he anticipated that.

The loom and clothing chapter (87) is still probably my favorite yet.

Pacing is great, my only complain would be no Ruri and no Mirai, I still believe it was a huge mistake, like, no pay off whatsoever for the main arcs of the series.
