Is this underrated gem or am I just not redpilled enough in mystery genre?

I went to this completely blind, without reading the synopsis, expecting another isekai/fantasy harem anime, so I was really pleasantly surprised by the twist of direction. The episodes just flew by like if they were 5 minutes long. The "another" twist at the twist felt kinda anticlimactic, but maybe that's just me. Still, definitely wanna pick up the novel now. Still, I wonder, why is this not talked about more?

Yeah, this is very underrated. It's the best light novel adaptation I've seen, probabky because it adapted one novel.

It was great, AOTS if not for Shirayukihime. First episode is one of my favorite in anime, and Adlet is one of the best male protagonist in recent memory.
Kinda ran out of budget by the end though

Ah, yes, the art style overall and especially the first episode was beautiful. The CGI fiends were.. well bearable.. and I haven't really noticed that much problems with budget. But honestly I never care that much for animation if the story is good and it's not Berserk/Arifureta/Overlord S3 lvl of eye bleach.

Nah, just got tired of it. There wasn't any drama or anything special.
The English translations aren't at all close either, the guy who did the fanTL dropped it after it got licensed and the official TL never released a single volume as far as I remember

Mystery genre is the second worst genre (worst being pure drama), also the loli's ability being acid vomit is complete shit. What a waste of a fantastic male lead. I dropped it at episode 7 because it took them that long to get to the actual premise, like I think they adapted 1 volume in 12 episodes or something.

The whodunnit mystery that drove the majority of the plot is solved and was frankly dragged out of too long already.

At this point I'm assuming the Majin and his generals were just a generic fantasy backdrop meant to tell a human story of loss and of love triumphing over all, with some interesting mystery interlaced to keep the reader's attention.

I dunno, I've made a thread recently about what happened with the bunny girl and there were quite a few replies. The anime was good until the final reveal which was rushed as hell as well the ending itself. Too bad it's never getting season two. Was actually fun watching this, especially the middle part.

Main love interest is established too soon, as well as potential waifu bait becoming the main villaness is too rushed. I was hoping for some bunny action but no. Also, later in the novel it is revealed that even the eyepatch chick doesn't actually love MC, it was all part of the brainwashing plan.

Bunny and Adlet are impostors/fake braves (Adlet unknowingly.) Mora is also a traitor since her son was being held hostage. She's now good again after she fulfilled her contract to the demons by killing Hans. Everyone else is legit, but Adlet now hates Fremy and wants to kill her.
